A Tree Planted By Rivers Of Water

Updated on March 23, 2010

Tree's Life Source

Bringing Forth Fruit In His Season

There are so many trees in the world, all kinds of trees. Some trees bear different kinds of fruit, others develop leaves that provides food and healing to different types of animals, insects, and even humans. In order for trees to provide all these things, the trees have to be well taken care of. Some trees are planted in yards outside of homes, some trees are planted in the forest, or in parks and wooded areas.Wherever trees are planted, they are taken care of either by nature or people.

The trees that produces more, are those that are planted in rivers of water. Why? From the rivers of water the trees absorbs all the nutrients, and proteins they need from the water and the soil beneath the water. Trees and all plant life needs plenty of water. Water is the tree's life source. Because, water is the life source for trees, a tree planted in rivers of water will always produce fruit in it's season, and it's leaf will not dry up and wither. So much depends on the trees being fruitful. Certain types of animals could not survive without the trees. I am writing all this because it has significance to what I am trying to get across to all those who will read this. The Bible says in the book of Psalms 1:3, "Be like a tree planted by rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

You notice God said be like a tree planted in rivers of water. Why do God tell us to be like this tree, and not like the other trees that are not planted by rivers of water? Trees planted by rivers of water are more fruitful, because they are close by their source of life, water. We, also are to plant ourselves by our source of life, which is the Word Of God. The other part of Psalms 1:3 says, "whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." This does not mean immunity from failure or difficulties, nor is it a guarantee of health, wealth, and happiness. What the Bible means by prosperity is this: When we apply God's wisdom to our lives, the fruit we bear will be good, and we will receive God's approval. As a tree soaks up water, and bears luscious fruit, we also are to soak up God's Word, producing actions and attitudes that honor God.

The Word Of God to us, is what rivers of water are to the trees. When we study God's Word we are planted by our source of life (the Word Of God). 2 Timothy 2:15 in the Bible says, "Study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman (christian) not to be ashamed, knowing how to handle (study and apply) the Word Of Truth (God). By studying the Word Of God (the Bible) we soak up the knowledge and the wisdom of God that will help us witness to those who are lost (sinners). People seek to achieve many things in this world, but people, listen, if we are to achieve anything worthwhile, we must have God's Word in our hearts. Give God The Glory!
