“I will be careful to lead a blameless life-

when will you come to me?

I will conduct the affairs of my house, with a blameless heart.”

Psalms 101:2 (NIV)

A truly beautiful woman is a woman of noble character who maintains a blameless walk in the eyes of her household. She has a healthy relationship with every member of her house.

Every woman who seeks to be beautiful must learn not only to develop a healthy and beautiful body by working out, she must also learn to cultivate healthy relationships in her family. She must set realistic goals for progress and must work faithfully to achieve what she desires to accomplish. She must learn to appreciate the good qualities of the members of her family. She must learn to accept them for who they are and must be patient with their shortcomings.

A true woman of God who honors God also honors her father and mother and does not bring disgrace to her parents. She looks after the needs of her family and helps in sustaining her parents. A truly virtuous woman is her husband's crown. She is a submissive wife, not quarrelsome and not a nagger. She has a great respect for her husband and helps to preserve his dignity. His children look up to her for their inspiration. They value so much her counsel. She does not provoke her children to anger but instructs them well in the ways of the Lord.

The woman depicted in Proverbs Ch. 31 verses 10-31 whom the Bible regards as the wife of noble character is indeed a highly esteemed woman by the writer of Proverbs chapter 31.

She is indeed a woman of excellence whom her children called “blessed”. ( As Proverbs 31:11-12 says, (NIV)

“Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”

There are many beautiful women in this world, but many of them have ruined their husband’s lives. They have done them more harm than good. But this wife of noble character presented in Proverbs 31:10-31 had not done any single harm to her husband all the days of her life. She is indeed a lovely woman in the eyes of her family and most of all in God’s eyes.

Ma’am Mary Jean, the wife of the former Senior Pastor of our church, will always be remembered for her great virtues as a wife. One thing is remarkable about her, i.e. her meek spirit and gentle character. Throughout her years as a wife of our Pastor, I rarely heard her raise her voice or start an argument. It is very seldom to see her in an argumentative mood. She is really a representation of a woman totally controlled by the power of the Holy Spirit. You will not hear her voice often, but the moment she speaks, a great wisdom is displayed. Such kind of woman should be a model for younger women of our time. If more women will be like her, there will be fewer occurrences of divorce.

Let your light shine in your home first.

Be a blessing to your family, and be called “blessed.” -Anonymous-
