Aliens may be staring us in the face....

Lord Martin Rees, president of the Royal Society and astronomer to the Queen, said the existence of extra terrestrial life may be beyond human understanding.

He made the remarks shortly after hosting the national science academy’s first conference on the possibility of alien life.

“They could be staring us in the face and we just don’t recognise them.

The problem is that we’re looking for something very much like us, assuming that they at least have something like the same mathematics and technology,” he said.

“I suspect there could be life and intelligence out there in forms we can’t conceive. Just as a chimpanzee can’t understand quantum theory, it could be there as aspects of reality that are beyond the capacity of our brains.”

I also have thought that we are or have been staring 'aliens' in the face since time began, but I suspect that Lord Martin Rees and myself may differ on their identity!

Lord Martin Rees is a scientist astronomer, so I would assume that he takes a very scientific view towards aliens and suchlike, and a very sceptical view towards demons and angels and such like, and possibly you share his view, perhaps you may share mine, and if you stop reading now, you will never know!

I say that....for if my view is correct.....and your scientific explanation for aliens contact is incorrect;.....then the demons and spirit forces that feature in my concept will be telling you to stop reading this very vehemently and you need to realise that if you are feeling this, well maybe you should read to the end and decide for yourself whether what I am stating is hogwash or possibly valid.

If you have read other articles of mine, you will probably have picked up on the fact that I am a believer in Christ and follow as best I may His commands.

So my tendency is to look for a spiritual aspect in everything that happens in life, rather than seek a rational solution, I seek a spiritual answer to the question WHY?

The net result of this is that I can find that spiritual link or solution, for my bible tells me seek and you shall find, and although that is not a strictly contextual link, it's good enough for me!

Let's see whether aliens could possibly be demons in disguise, or possibly not in too much disguise, just lying about their identity and fulfilling our wish quota.

Since time started men have looked upwards to the stars and wondered how they got there, how many there are and are we alone in this universe.

Every night the heavenlies proclaim the Glory of God to me as I walk my dog on the beach, I can only assume that most atheists do not posess dogs that need walking on starry nights, and therefore miss the simplistic beauty of Gods creation rotating like clockwork to a celestial timetable that has also not changed.

Logic dictates that we must share this vast universe with someone else, and our emotive response is to want to believe that, despite having nearly seven billion fellow humans to interact with, we still want to find 'them' out there, who we believe will be looking for 'us' having seen (by now) early broadcasts of 'Lucille Ball' and 'Laurel and Hardy' and obviously formed the opinion that intelligent life must exist here.

Ironically the rapid move from analogue to digital transmissions has cut short this broadcast extravaganza to a brief instance in time, and anybody looking from afar for our 'civilisation' may be forced to decide that we simply disappeared, as our radio footprint fades.

Also ironic is the atheists inability to understand spiritual things, yet easily accept that sound and television waves flow freely around our planet but are only able to be seen and heard by those humans equipped with the suitable technology to receive and translate the signals.

We can hear because we are equipped with the right equipment, connection to Holy Spirit communications, using a Bible receiver to understand the signals that are sent out.

God does not clearly tell us that we are just one of His lab projects, a virus to be looked at periodically to see how it has developed, what 'good' mutuations have happened by accident and created the supermen that we believe are present amongst us.

I can see instances where I could, with the utilisation of a vivid imagination honed to sci-fi conceptualisation by 1960's drug culture, make a case for some form of alien presence that has intervened in our history and continues to do so.

The concept that Jesus was a spaceman is not so unbelievable to construe, and indeed it has successfully been presented in that manner by Erich von Daniken, who popularised this theory with his book, Chariots of the Gods.

Fortunately historians and scientists alike discount this concept, so I need not spend much time with it.

But my main reason for dismissing it myself is that whatever or whoever these 'aliens' would or could have been, they would still be God.

For God's personality is one which each individual believer knows personally, and each believer understands that their God is constantly involved in their lives, thoughts, actions and problems, and reacts accordingly.

God seems to be capable of being aware and involved in every life on the planet simultaneously and in real time.

Our minds may gasp at that concept, and folk from the pre computerised technology age find it plain impossible to believe.

But anyone who has seen that the banks can keep track of all the money in the world, or at least in your account, in real time, and can deduct cash from your account and credit another without one human beings involvement, can see that if we can do that, God can do better.

And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

Of course the jury is still out as to whether intelligent life does exist on earth anyway, at least by the standards of the Queens astronomer, who uses the chimpanzees understanding quantum physics as his yardstick.

I do not understand quantum physics myself, and I'm hardly a chimpanzee (nor related to them).

So, could these aliens, seen, recorded and expected, actually be demons in disguise?

Well angels and demons have the capacity to manifest in physical form, or take over a physical body if available, at least they have been accorded this ability in scripture and in popular entertainment.

In Genesis we find angels in physical form visiting Lot and being entertained by Lot.

They later blind the homosexual men who sought to rape them, before sending Lot and his family to safety, and then destroying the whole area with fire and brimstone.

So angels have physical presence, can eat and drink, and have immense power.

Now if I were Satan, I'd have some set plans to deceive humanity and, once I had persuaded our more 'rational' members of society that I did not exist....I would set about creating a plethora of characters who could be roused to cause more confusion and further obsure the spiritual nature of my endeavours.

Demons, aliens, ghosts, spirit guides and a whole range of special effects that were and are designed to confuse and deceive even the elect if that were possible, and all condoned by God in the first place, becuase He knew from before day one that most of us would prefer to believe in little green men than an impossibly inconceivable God who held the whole universe in His hand, yet knew each of us individually.

Gods word tells us that in the end times, He WILL send deception to decieve those who may be deceived, so why should we doubt it, or give credit to those who wait expectantly for these aliens to appear and 'rescue' us, or show us the 'enlightenment' that their appearance would signify once 'religion' and God had been disproven.

The rationalists will leap on the band wagon when they appear, for they will be able to see, smell and touch their alien friends, sent to help us out.

They will probably miss the smell of sulphur that will accompany them, but hey, space is a weird place, and we must not be anything but inclusive to our new found buddys from 'out there'.
