Angelic Voices in the Night

Updated on May 26, 2013
The storm
The storm
The storm comes
The storm comes
Amid lightning's flash
Amid lightning's flash
Thunder's roar
Thunder's roar
sweet angelic voices heard
sweet angelic voices heard
The storm subsides
The storm subsides

Though thundering may roar, within the night,

Angel's voices in response, are all so bright,

As a cannon's blast, and an explosion of might,

The lightning's refrain, such an awesome sight.

Our God on high, now directs His own choir,

as the anthem reigns, in finest notes to inspire,

Its wonders are divine, as the crescendo lasts,

for all listening ears, in great depths, so vast.

A quieter song now sung, its notes to be heard,

with hymns of sweetness, by the angel's words,

Flowing lightly, sounds carried aloft, by a breeze,

Among gently swaying trees, in rhythms to please.

The storm subsides, and within its calming delights,

A silver moon and stars, shine brightly in the nights.

The Lord is pleased, in His wonderful orchestrations,

As wild geese all fly and sing, in resounding ovations.

Oh, this is so very beautiful. In His Word, He tells us that His angels and He sing praises over us while we sleep. Sometimes I do hear these sweet songs, or maybe I am dreaming.

      Really beautiful photos.

      Voted up ++++ and sharing

      God bless you, Faith Reaper

You are such a lovely writer my friend and a very good man too because you always see the beauty around you as I know I do too and we are blessed for having that perception and appreciation of it.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars for what I have here at the lake

and my mum and dad are buried here in the front yard (their ashes) so they can look over their lake forever and in eternity hand in hand.

That is what your writing makes me feel and that is a powerful connection indeed.

Sending to you and your family good thoughts from Colin and his cats at lake erie time canada 1:02pm
