Are Christians In America Able To Maintain Their Faith During The Coming Persecution?

Every now and then, I get caught up in the not too subtle slings and arrows targeted at those of us who are called Christians - especially Traditional Christians - and forgetting that this subtle and the lethal persecution of Christians to come was predicted by the very Christ in the Gospel of Matthew. I often feel guilty of what could be tantamount to my seemingly minor complaints on how Christians are being treated now in the United States compare to what the Apostle Paul went through, including his martyrdom. I am also aware of the lethal persecution of Christians that are located in the mostly Muslim’s 10-40 Window and pondering if modern Christians in America and the West, in general, are going to be able to face the coming painful persecution and maintain their Faith in Christ Jesus?

Look at the tenets many Christians now believe or not believe in, abandoning many of the core codified, Traditional Christian values, so as to ‘fit in’ with the secular crowd. This ‘secular fitting in’ is no different than the peer pressure that many of us went through in high-school… only that peer pressure in high school mostly meant not hanging out with the popular kids, while this peer pressure on some Christians means not to be called old fashion or a hater. Christians who do not support gay marriage are called haters, among other pejorative names, if these Christian dare to come out against gay marriage. So pervasive is this thinking that same sex marriage is morally ok that many Christians have gone a whoring after this perverted doctrine… fulfilling the Bible’s prophesies in the Four Gospels (Matthew 7:15, among others) and in some of the Apostle Paul’s epistles (1st Timothy 4, among others).

Now if many Christians are abandoning core settled values to fit in with the world - what do you think that many of us are going to do when they start lopping off Christian heads in America? The scary irony too is that many of us who are Christians now will be right there with the secular hoards calling for the heads of Christians. It must be noted that many a German, before onset of World War 2, would have sworn that they would not have partake in the slaughter of the Jews, be it through moral indolence or directly, but they too got caught up in the demonic Nazi propaganda; and so too that this anti Christian pending lethal propaganda is going to be worst because, as the Christ said, parents will turn their children in to the persecutors and verse versa and siblings will do the same… to other siblings (Matthew 10:21).

I know many of you are thinking/saying that out right Christian persecution is not coming here, or, if it is, then it is far, far off on the distant horizon. However, I beg to differ because many of us would have said the same thing about gay marriage taking hold in America too. Even now, if a Christian who makes his or living in Hollywood were to say out loud what the Bible says about the homosexual or lesbian lifestyle, he or she would never work in Hollywood again. I can listen to old Rap albums and there are lyrics castigating the gay lifestyle, yet now all of these Rappers would disavowed these lyrics, not out of some new found epiphany borne out of humanitarian social justice, but out of the growing tyranny of the LGBT movement and its malignant influence it has in the Arts and beyond….

In a twinkle of an eye, almost akin to the Rapture, changes can take place in the Spiritual realm that seem to have dire consequential for Christians here on earth; however, if one knows his or her Bible, he or she can see what is coming and knows the great rewards waiting in the next life… of putting off this flawed mortal coil and donning a coil that is incorruptibility. I am not going to boast and say that I am going to die for Christ Jesus - but I sincerely hope that He would allowed me to - or if He sees that in the future that I am going to betray Him, by denying Him, Holy Spirit forbids, then I hope that Christ Jesus mercifully strike me down, so as to secure my soul in His kingdom. I end by inviting anyone who will read this blog and does not know Jesus as Savior… to welcome Him and know the joys in repetition that are in Christ alone (1st Corinthians 2:9).
