Only Jesus Can Heal Your Broken Heart & Satisfy Your Soul
Often times as believers in Jesus, we get the nudge to go out and declare His truth for all to hear. I feel this morning that I've been tagged to do just that. Call it crazy or what you may, I call it, answering to the call of duty.
It just might be that somebody out there needs to hear whatever it is the Lord is willing to say through me.
As a believer, it is my duty to tell the world about Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Lord. To tell about his sacrifice on the cross and how that sacrifice has impacted my life for good.
I MUST show through my life that God is good, that God is Love, that God is Peace, and Kind, and that God gives second chances. He did for me, as I hope He will for you. so, if you're reading this and you have never asked Jesus Christ to be your Lord and personal savior, I want you to bear with me as I share some truth with you.
We Have All Sinned
The truth is we (man) was created for greatness, and that includes you. But in the beginning, man (Adam and Eve, the first humans created) sinned. You may be wondering, "How does that include me?" You see at conception, we became members of the human race. As humans, we are born into the lineage of Adam, thereby taking upon us the sins of our forefathers and the rightful punishment, death.
The bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:23), and sin separated us from God our maker and left a big hole or vacuum within us that longed to be filled. Inspite of that, God did not turn His back on us. What do I mean by that? With all our sins, God never stopped loving us, or longing for us to come back to Him. Scripture says, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." (Romans 5:8 - NLT).
So, you see, God looked beyond our sins and guilt, and through his love and grace, provided a way of escape from death. You and I don't have to choose death. That is what a life lived continuously in sin without repentance brings us, death. But we believe in His redemption plan, and embrace it wholeheartedly, we shall have life. So what is that plan?
You Need The Savior
God in His infinite mercy, out of His love for you and I gave up His only son, Jesus Christ, to pay the punishment for our sins, yours and mine. John 3:16 says, "For God so Loved the World that He gave His only begotten son that Whosoever BELIEVES in HIM should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE."
Jesus loves you. He died for you. He is your maker, and He is calling you to come, just as you are. With all your imperfections, the lies, the evil thoughts, the hidden fears, the anger, the bitterness, the unforgiveness, the betrayal. I have answered that call. The question now is, will you answer that call?
Our God is Love, and forgiving. It does not matter what sins you have committed, or how badly you have lived your life. God will forgive you. All you have to do is ASK for His forgiveness. YES! That's all you have to do.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you"
Admit/Acknowledge that you are a sinner.
Say that you are sorry for all your sins, and mean it.
Kneel (in submission) and pray to God for forgiveness. Know that you are forgiven.
Only Jesus Can Satisfy Your Soul
There are some of you out there who will say, 'this is all crap', 'there is no god'. 'You are your own god'. Well, my question to you is, 'How is that working for you'? With all that hate that you carry with you, planting seeds of gloom and bitterness in all of those around you. If only you will allow yourself to look deep enough, past your hate and bitterness, past your self-centeredness, you might just find Jesus. He is ever waiting with all His love and His arms wide open to receive you. Try Jesus, and you will never be the same again. I promise you.
Only Jesus can satisfy that deep longing within you. The world and all it has to offer can only give you something temporal, and then you're back to reality. But my God is able to save and deliver you from all your sins and heart aches. He alone is able to give you lasting peace. He says, "Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. (Psalm 34:14). Then and only then can you live your life to fulfillment.
And I'm not talking about being rich and famous (those are good), but living a fulfilled life means, living to fulfil the purpose for which God created you. Jesus took the punishment for your sin so that you wouldn't have to die. Ask Him to be your Lord and personal savior and friend, TODAY. Why?
Today Is The Day of Your Salvation!
Jesus Loves You - Yes I said it before, and I'm saying it again, Jesus loves YOU! And because He loves you, He does not want you to perish. God is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (II Peter 3:9).
Jesus Cares for You - His care for you is shown in His love, his death on the cross. Why do you think He has kept you until now? To hear this, to give you the opportunity to read this and take that step towards Him, not away from Him. The bible says,"Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7). Will you do that today?
Tomorrow Maybe Too Late - The fact is, you are not promised tomorrow. What happens to you moments from now is a mistery known only to God your maker. No clergy, pastor, ordained or not can tell you what the future holds for you. But, with Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have the assurance that, come what may, He will be there for you, if you trust Him.
O what joy to know that you are safe in His arms!
