Astrology: It’s Aquarius Season!!!
From January 20th – February 18th the sun is in the astrological sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac and the third air signs among the three air signs (which are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius all in that order). Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus and Saturn. Aquarius’s main ruler is Uranus. Uranus is an astrological planet that represents technology, humanity/consciousness, and change (social and political). Uranus rules over Aquarius and is associated with the eleventh house. The eleventh house rules over friendships.
Aquarius is an air sign whose element is air, duh :). Aquarius is of fixed quality and rules mainly over the eleventh house. As stated above the eleventh house rules and represents friendships and connections we gain in life such as work friends. Aquarius zodiac sign glyph shows two ripples of water, or waves of aether (or bolts of lightning, or electrically-charged water).
Aquarius’s phrase is “I know” and Aquarius’s symbol is the water-bearer. The picture often shows a man or boy pouring water out of a urn or a pot. The symbolism in Aquarius’s picture is quite interesting. This symbol; the pouring of water out is supposed to represent a human sharing and providing knowledge to the world. The pouring of water also represents Aquarius’s gift to humanity (knowledge, technology, etc.). Water in ancient civilizations (even in the present day) is important, and the act of sharing water used for survival and for growing crops is important. This is part of the reason why Aquarius is known as the humanitarian of the zodiac for a reason. This sign is very similar to the other air signs, Gemini and Libra in the sense, because these signs need for communication and the use of their intellect is important. Even so, Aquarius is also pretty different from the other air signs, due to their unique and innovative thinking.
Aquarius is of fixed quality, along with Taurus, Leo and Scorpio. These zodiac signs are known for their perseverance (and stubbornness), willfulness and forceful personalities of the zodiac. Fixed signs have strong beliefs and the ability to overcome and fight adversity. This gives Aquarius the follow through and confidence to stand by their beliefs and stick around, through thick and thin. This is partially why Aquarius is considered the humanitarian of the zodiac. Its takes strong beliefs and a forward thinking attitude to want and work to change the world. They won’t be easily shaken or discouraged from working towards world peace. Even if its not something as noble as world peace, Aquarius have strong goals and constitutions they abide by to succeed in their life. While as, even if the task or goal is not completed in their lifetime, they will be working till they’re deathbeds promoting this strong belief for the future generations behind them.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus (who rules over the eleventh house of friendship). This makes Aquarius focused on fostering and building relationships, connections and partnerships with others. They understand that to reach the top one, must work with other people. They also have and understand that they must work together with other people in order to complete a goal. Aquarius’s like working in a team because they are looking to collectively work with others to reach their goals. Aquarius feels at home in a group and can be part of a group, while maintaining their individual identity. As an air sign this also makes sense, being that there is a strong need to communicate.
Even so, in Aquarius there is an unpredictable, rebellious streak in them (blame Uranus). The rebel with a cause, they pride themselves on being different and unique. They want to forge their identity and make a statement to others (whether through clothes, relationships, choice of music, body art, etc.) They have a need to break free from the mainstream and forge their own path. This is because Aquarius hates being predictable and likes to keep others guessing. Remember being unique and different means not being predictable.
Aquarius also is known for being know- it all’ and detached. Aquarius’s phrase, “I know” makes them want to acquire knowledge from everywhere and everything. Even so, unlike the other air signs their strong beliefs, near genius IQs and stubbornness may come across to others as pushy, arrogant, and know it all-ly. This is true. While as an air sign, Aquarius is guilty of being unemotional and detached in nature. Aquarius is not the emotional, mushy, or sentimental people. They rely on intellect and the need to communicate in a logical and airy fashion. Besides emotions make them uncomfortable and they have the tendency to over-think and intellectualize feelings (like the other two air signs).
Aquarius’s humanitarian need is because they are the sign of change. Aquarius is unique in the sense that they have a gift of insight and psychic intuition. Not in the emotional water sign way, but in a sort of reasonable, future thinking, and innovative way. They seem to understand the logic of change and its undercurrents and the need to reinvent and modify things. They have an innate need for revolution and welcome change. They welcome new technology and new systems and ways of life because this is bound to happen sooner or later. They can easily accept change because they are confident in logic and their understanding of human relations to help them through. Aquarius’s are also very accepting of others and their differences. They like to feel and be different and they accept and cherish people for who they are. Most Aquarius’s (not all) are not held down by the dogmatic nature of politics, religion, the media and society. Overall Aquarius in the zodiac wheel is the scientist, the rebel, visionary and humanitarian.
So Happy Aquarius Season!!! Happy Birthday to ALL THE AQUARIUS’S OF THE WORLD, THIS IS YOUR ENERGY AND YOUR TIME!!! Thank You
