Becoming a Spiritual Master: A Guild

Updated on November 27, 2016

"This is the dawning of an age of Aquarius- The Age of Aquarius!"

Really are witnessing the dawn of a new age: an age of awareness, truth and love. No longer are we beset on all sides by bigotry, oppression and violence. Now we have gay pride parades, free the nipple feminist campaigns (yes that is a real thing), Anonymous 'hacktivist's' bamboozling corrupt governments and corporations. We have seen two middle eastern non violent revolutions in the past decade and Iceland has overthrown it's government and jailed it's fraudulent bankers.

Is this all just a coincidence? Or is it that these events have always been happening and only now do we have the means to share them globally in real time on the Internet?

I believe that this is a spiritual awakening. We are cosmic entities, hurtling through space along with everything else in the ether capacious. We are part of a solar system that is in a tiny galaxy in the far corner of our universe which is in a precessional orbit called 'the Precession of the Equinoxes' which completes its cycle every twenty six thousand years. As such, on each side of the cycle, there is a thirteen thousand year period spent on each side of an event horizon known as the photon belt which our solar system passes to enters in to the Milky Way, passing back through the other side again thirteen thousand years later. Our planet has completed this cycle since its inception and 2012 was the year the Mayans predicted our planet would, once more, pass this Astrological point in space-time.

Just as the position of the moon affects the tide and menstrual cycles, our physical position in the cosmos affects our emotional state.

We are now on the light side of the galaxy!

So then, if we are finally becoming aware that indeed we are in fact spiritual beings having a human experience, shouldn't we sharpen our galactic intellects and figure out what this love and enlightenment jazz is all about?

Below is a list of essentials you'll need for this cosmic mission. A 'how to' guide for everything meta-physical, etheric and enlightened to help you on your spiritual journey. Enjoy;

What the Bleep do we Know

What the bleep do we know?' An amazing and informative documentary on the topic of quantum physics and how science and spirituality profess the same theories and ideas

The Secret

'The Secret' Probably one of most well known and globally recognised meta-physics documentary about 'The Law of Attraction'. This is the same idea that the Buddha conveyed through his teachings " What we think about we become". The Law of Attraction states that our thoughts and feelings resonate at a certain frequency and by self generating the frequency of already having what you desire you will attract towards things within that same frequency. Very useful stuff right there.

Tao Te Ching

The Tao Te Ching. The Tao Te Ching (pronounced Dow De Ching) is one of the oldest eastern books of philosophy and spirituality. It's author remains a mystery as the name of the supposed author is Lao Tzu (pronounced Loutza) which translates to 'Old Master' in modern English. I'm assuming his parents didn't name him that, and no one knows his real name. The Tao Te Ching translated to 'The Book of The Constant Way' or Book of The Way' and comprises of a series of enlightening verses created in an attempt to conceptualise and articulate the ultimate truth of consciousness and our part in it. This artifice of ancient wisdom is a spiritual guide in and of itself and many, include me, have spent years trying to unlock it's deeper meaning, recognising our connectivity more and more each times it's read.

A Space Odyssey 2001

A Space Odyssey 2001 For many, this archetypal pillar of science fiction is also a spiritual marvel and a work of art. Depicting the early beginnings of civilisation and how they were influenced by beings of a higher dimension, and then dragging you through space-time to an age of awakening when astronauts of the future are faced with proof of inter dimensional beings and their influence. A very intense film but a must see for the spiritual adventurer.

The Gospel According to Mark

The Gospel According to Mark, New Testament of the Holy Bible. Now, the bible is a tricky one for any non-Christians wanting to develop a sense of spirituality. For some, being force fed the religion from an early age has actually steered them away from some really important points in the bible. It is the most concise historical document of spiritual events in the history of civilisation, along with the Q'ran. The Gospel According to Mark, however, is packed with the real teachings of the man we know as Jesus, and a great deal of the parables in the book resemble Buddhism. The parable of the sower = what we think we become and the whole loving your enemy is more akin with the Buddhist and Hindu faiths than Judaism. When listening to the video pay attention when you hear the words "...and Jesus said", they are the juicy bits.

Alan Watts

Alan Watts. Alan Watts was a theologian and religious scholar whom later became public speaker, giving lectures on the subject of Eastern Philosophy. Name the teachings of Buddha in the Mahajana (also known as Zen) Buddhism. Barer of universal truths and parables, Alan Watts simplified his concepts in to every day examples. The video I've provided was the piece I saw that first turned me on to Alan Watts and it gives me goosebumps every time I watch.
