Befriend the Will of the Wind

Updated on August 25, 2018

Friend, this hub is an offering to anyone who sometimes gets frustrated with your efforts to discover your right place. If you have a deep and real desire to live for the Lord but just cannot seem to find the place of victory you see and hear about in others you will like this one. It's really like a sermon in song. Good lessons for life in the Lord.

Jesus Christ is ever at work in us to change the old man into the new one and we are learners. When our peace is troubled He will begin to send us signs. When we struggle with wavering in joy, being continually discontented it's a sure sign that a change in direction is needed. So we stop and think. Maybe we need a deep change. When the horse we've been riding gets too weary to get us to our desired destination it needs rest. We might need to dismount and head out on a new and fresh one. In this same way, if the foundation of the spiritual house we've built is compromised we must learn to re-think our plan and do some necessary repairs to strengthen. The foundation of a spiritual house aligned with the word of God through Christ is a safe place and is able to withstand any storm. It is a place of peace and rest. Only the house watched over and built by the Lord will keep us calm in the storms and withstand the fierce storms of life.

Let's be as wise men who learn and seek to embrace change. God has a new dimension he desires to reveal to us. The winds of God are always blowing and we must learn how to lean into his winds as we walk through life. God's Holy Spirit is as the wind.

John 3:8
The wind blows where it will, and you heart the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from, or where it is going. So is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Through the power of the love of our Father we can learn to submit our ways to Him and to flow with his winds. Holy Spirit winds come to keep carrying us in right direction in the flow of his mighty river. He is able to set us on a right course and to keep us there so that we might prosper in all that we do in His kingdom work, for His glory.

Mark 14:36
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
