(and Refilled Dailey)
Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 ¶ But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 ¶ Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Being Filled with the Holy Spirit…
What does this mean???
Why is it important today??
How… Do you get from being “Saved but little more… to being:
“Saved”, “Sanctified” and “Filled with” and “Walking in the Fullness of the Spirit”???
One Word… Surrender.
Salvation is free… It’s a free gift and Christ Paid for it…
But from there on in… You as a Believer are expected to “Grow in grace and knowledge”
2 Peter 3 1 ¶ This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 ¶ Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 ¶ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 ¶ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Look… What are you here for if not to learn of God and of His Righteousness… To Prepare you to serve him and Learn of him.. To prepare you for His return…
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (KJV)
Grow in Grace…
Grow in Knowledge
Grow as a Christian… Be not drunk with wine…
But be Filled with God’s Holy Spirit
Im not talking about “lalalalalalalala” and praying for an unknown tongue you can pray in…
(and show everyone how spiritual you are making a noise they cant pronounce or understand…)
Im talking about being full of the Holy Spirit…
His true presense being seen and known in your life…
In your home… In your Marriage
Im talking about Surender to God…
Im talking about Repentence of sins…
Even little things that you know upset the Lord…
Heart Sins that you don’t want to admit…
(Like Rebelion… Resentment… Un-forgiving spirit… Fault finding… Lazyness… Hatred Malice…
Im talking about preparing God a dwelling place in your hearts…
By cleaning out all of the filth that is in you and your relationships you’re your families and marriages today…
If you had a Guest coming to your home…
Maybe a Pastor from the United States coming to visit us… and Each person could volunteer to host that pastor in their home for one day and night…
Would you wait until the day he is suppose to arrive before you began to clean your house???
Or would you not clean it at all… and just say to yourself “Let him see how we live all the time…” with the trash stinking in the kitchen and the bathroom floor with wet clothes everywhere… The kids bedrooms a mess… The living room full of stuff that there is no place for a guest to sit down…
Is this how you would treat a guest to your home??? No Of course not..
You would prepare for days… the house would be spotless and you would fuss over the guest to make sure everything was perfect now wouldn’t you??
And you would go to the neighbors and say “I want to introduce you… this is ____________ from…. He is a guest in my house…”
And you would be happy… and ready to tell everyone…. Wouldn’t you???
Well Christ has come into your Life…
and saved you.. given you eternal life….
Then He sent his comforter to you…
The Holy Spirit comes and tries to visit you…
But each time he comes… ready to bless you: What meets him at the door?
A dirty stinking Rottweiler??? Of old Grudges???
Cockroaches that pore forth from the filthy closet of Resentments…
Dirty Trash cans sprouting with Roots of Bitterness’s against others…
An Unread Bible covered in the Dust of Neglect???
Do you care that the Lord is trying to Visit you???
Do you not want to prepare your Heart and life for him???
My word today is that You must Prepare God a Place in your life!!!
And if you want him to keep you Filled with the Spirit…
And if you want to stay Walking in the Spirit…
Your going to have to walk in the spirit.. Run in the spirit…
And keep your life clean…
If your guest stayed a day or two…
Would you not keep the house clean while the guest was there???
Sure you would…
Housecleaning of heart sins is a Dailey task..
How Long do you want the Holy Spirit to be the “Guest” in your life???
How much does it matter to you???
Here we are in the Last days of the church…
The world is about to run its course… the final days are upon us…
We need Gods presents in the Church… in our lives…
More than ever before…
We are facing battles with Devils on the front lines.
Persecutions coming from various places… are soon to be a reality again.. Just like they were in Romania and other countries…
Are we prepared for the days ahead??? I don’t think most of us are…
It is time to prepare our hearts..
Prepare to meet our maker…
Prepare to be faithful unto the end…
Old saying… If you are not prepared to Live for Christ…
What makes you think you would “Die for Christ”???
If you wont even talk to someone about Jesus…
Wont tell lost people about your love for Jesus and how much he has done for you… If you cant even come to church regularly.. and don’t bother with Evangelism days…
Then what makes you think you are ready for the Lords return???
Your Not!!
If what Jesus did in your life is of so little importance to you … that you feel no need to share it…
I want to ask you… What did Jesus do for you??? Anything at all???
Or are you kidding yourself???
The Commands that we have…
are to be filled with the Spirit…And to Evangelize.
The two things are really two parts of the same thing….
To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be like a full balloon that is ready to burst…
Your so happy with the things that Christ has done for you… You just got to tell someone…
The Holy Spirit is in your life.. and your sooo happy to have him there… You want to introduce him to everyone…
Are you ready? Just let go... and Let God.
