Updated on December 8, 2018

Bable Study

If you plan to participate in the Bible Study lesson you will need your Bible; I’ll wait while you go and get it. Now that you have your Bible in hand open it to
(Gen. 37:1-36). Our story begins with a seventeen-year-old boy named Joseph.

Question 1

Of course, like most of us, Joseph also had brothers, (Q-1) How many of Joseph’s brothers did Jacob send to Egypt to buy grain? Reference Scripture Gen.42:3. Answer___________________________________________________________

Question 2

(Q-2) What was the name of Joseph’s brother that Jacob did not send down to Egypt to buy grain? Reference Scripture Gen.42:4. Answer_____________________________________________________________

Read Genesis .37:1-3.

Our text tells us that Jacob, now called Israel (Gen.35:9-10), Loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also, Jacob made for Joseph a tunic of many colors. As parents, we often try to justify our actions and motives when dealing with our children.
