THE WELSH OUTPOURING - COUNTERFEIT REVIVAL AT VICTORY CHURCH CWMBRAN

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,“Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues.....” (Revelation 18/4) This command was given to God's people in the Old Testament when the destruction of the wicked was inevitable and imminent (see Jeremiah 51/6, 50/8, 51/45; Isaiah 48/20; Isaiah 52 and also Genesis 19/14). The end time scenario in the Book of Revelation depicts the same command to God's people to exit the doomed harlot, mystery Babylon, and there is a warning attached.

The plagues referred to in Revelation 18/4 are the final seven plagues, the bowls of God's wrath which will be poured out upon the earth. In particular the fifth bowl will fall upon Rome, the seat of the beast (Revelation 16).

The Roman Catholic “Church” is none other than the “mother of harlots”, the Harlot Church of Revelation 17/5. There are several reasons why many identify the Roman Catholic Church as the global end time harlot:

• And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.(Revelation 16/19; 17/5; 18/10) Rome represents spiritual Babylon.

• …..the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated..... (Revelation 17/9). Rome is famous for being built on seven hills.

• “And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17/18) When John had this vision, Rome was the ruling power and had dominion over the kings of the earth.

• And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Revelation 17/6) "From the birth of popery to the present time, it is estimated by careful and credible historians that more than fifty millions of the human family have been slaughtered for the crime of "heresy" by popish persecutors." (John Dowling, The History of Romanism, pp 541-542)

• …..and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. (Revelation 17/3-4) Purple and scarlet are prominent colours of Roman Catholicism along with many other adornments and abominations including idolatrous and corrupt worship.

False Doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church

• Works based salvation.

• Salvation comes only through the Roman Catholic Church.

• Papal infallibility.

• Mary is the Mother of God.

• Mary is Ever-Virgin and was immaculately conceived.

• Mary was assumed into Heaven and crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth.

• Mary is Mediatrix of all Graces, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate for the People of God.

• The Eucharist of the Mass and transubstantiation, (the doctrine that the bread and wine literally become the blood and body of Christ when taken at communion).

• The Bible must be interpreted within the context of “sacred tradition”.

• Prayers to the dead (necromancy).

• That the church was built on Peter, whom they call the first Pope.

• The doctrine of Purgatory after death to purge one of sin.

• Confession to a priest for absolution of sins.

• Images and idols to kneel and pray before.

• The selling of indulgences.

• Penance.

• Celibacy of priests and nuns.

• Holy water.

• The rosary.

The list goes on and on........... These doctrines are not the doctrines of the New Testament, they are a different gospel and a different Christ (2 Corinthians 11/4) But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1/8-9) They are doctrines of demons. (1 Timothy 4/1) Rome has no intention of repenting, but instead seeks to assimilate Christendom as well as other religions into itself to establish the one world end time harlot religion.

How can we explain it when many so called Bible believing churches are doing the exact opposite of what God has commanded in His Word and are yoking up with the Roman Catholic Church? Victory Church in Cwmbran is part of “Churches Together” which includes the Roman Catholic Church and her harlot daughters, the other main denominations belonging to the ecumenical World Council of Churches. Victory Church claim to be having an “outpouring” of the Holy Spirit, but how can this possibly be when they are partners with demons? What accord has Christ with Belial (Satan)? (2 Corinthians 6/15).

Persecution by the religious establishment against God's people is a pattern that we find repeatedly in the Bible beginning with the fist martyr Abel. Persecution was levelled against God's servants the Old Testament prophets. The Pharisees persecuted Jesus Christ and were responsible for His death. Subsequently Christ's apostles were persecuted, mainly by the Jews and Roman Imperial cult of Emperor worship. All past authentic revivals have attracted fierce opposition from the Satanic hordes which are behind religiosity masquerading as righteousness (Acts 4, 5, 7,12,16,22-28). Those involved in true revivals were rejected and were often forced to split away from their denominational churches. Luther was persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation. The Protestants Reformers in turn persecuted Anabaptists and others for their biblical beliefs. In the early eighteenth century, John and Charles Wesley and John Whitefield suffered fierce opposition from the Church of England clergy. The Welsh revival of 1904/5 met with powerful opposition from the established clergy and church leaders. The persecution of God's people continues right up to the present day, in fact persecution is evidence of true revival.

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3/12,13).

“A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” (John 15/20).

They will put you out of the synagogues (churches in our case). Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me.But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.(John 1 6/1-4)

The so called “Welsh Outpouring” is being compared with the Welsh Revival of 1904/5 by Richard Taylor of Victory Church, but the anomaly is that it is quite the opposite from all previous authentic revivals in that Victory Church faces no persecution whatsoever. One major difference is that Evan Roberts was not yoked together with Rome!

On the 20^th of July, Richard Taylor's “tweet” quoted Rick Warren who is at the forefront of the apostate Ecumenical Movement. Warren refers to Roman Catholics as “brothers and sisters” and his aim is to bring Evangelicals and Catholics together to fulfil his P.E.A.C.E. Program. In the New Testament false prophets are called “wolves in sheep's clothing”...........(Matthew 7/15). The Apostle Paul warns that after his departure: savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock..... (Acts 20/29) There are many cults that could be identified as false churches, but when apparent bible believing Christianity is targeted for deception by Satan it is a more difficult proposition. A deception would not be a deception unless it were convincing, and many clever lies are wrapped up in truth. The New Testament says that God sends a strong delusion – an end time deception that is so powerful that even the “elect” might be deceived, if it were possible (2 Thessalonians 2/11). This would be consistent with God handing people over to unrighteousness because they have persisted in and believed the lie. Chillingly, when this point in time arrives it is too late to repent. And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. (Mark 13/20; Matthew 24/22) Paul tells us that “many” shall be deceived, and that this deception comes in the name of Christ (2 Thessalonians 2/8-12). If these things have been spoken by Jesus Christ himself and taught by the apostles, then we must take them seriously. No matter how convincing or how genuine any teacher appears to be, we must always “test the spirits” (1 John 4/1). When speaking about deceivers, Jesus Christ said: “The time is near. Do not go after them.” (Luke 21/8) Notice also that signs and wonders are not a confirmation that God is at work.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2/9-12)

According to the Bible, false teachers are endemic in the end times when most of Christendom is basically hi-jacked by the Harlot Church of Rome, apart from a remnant. The “mother of harlots” Roman Catholicism (Revelation 17/5), is fulfilling the prophecies in the Book of Revelation in its agenda to reverse the Reformation in the name of “unity”. What these foolish men are doing has all the outward appearance of wisdom, but it is all in the flesh; they are actually facilitating Satan's agenda to form an end time religious political alliance that will end in their own destruction:

And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire.....(Revelation 17/16)

What we saw with the “Toronto blessing” and “Pensacola revival” were counterfeits which did not produce any change in society or true revival. More recently the same old wolves (John Kilpatrick [Pensacola] and John Arnott [Toronto]) surfaced at the Bay Revival in Daphne Alabama which was led by new kid on the block, Nathan Morris, whose only contribution seems to be that he shouts a lot. There have been a procession of false teachers being welcomed at Victory Church including Tommy Tenney, John Glass, Lou Engle, Nathan Morris (Bay Revival) and Roy Fields (Lakeland). It appears that Richard Taylor is following in their footsteps in his attempt to replicate the Welsh Revival of 1904/5 in the flesh.

Victory Church is now promoting “Wales for Christ 2013” which is being held at two-thousand seat auditorium, St David's Hall in Cardiff on September the 6^th and 7^th. Taylor's grandiose boasts like: “Wales for Christ”......”Wales shall be saved” ….. “blood washed Wales” simply mimic Reinhard Bonnke's exaggerated rhetoric about Africa. I do not see any similar boasts in the New Testament from the Apostles. In fact it is presumptuous for Christians to make extravagant claims that they are going to take any country for the Lord. A more biblical attitude would be “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4/15) This attitude would certainly show more humility since God works in His ways, not ours - we cannot second guess Him. In Acts 16 the Apostle Paul had a vision of a man in Macedonia - he concluded that God had called him and his companions to go to Macedonia and preach the gospel there. He said nothing more spectacular than that – he certainly said nothing as presumptuous as “Macedonia shall be saved” ….“Macedonia for Christ”.....”blood washed Macedonia”. There was no hyped up “outpouring” in Macedonia. The Lord opened Lydia's heart and afterwards she and her family were baptised. Later the Philippian Jailer and his family were saved and baptised (Acts 16/11-34). The Apostle Paul was eager to preach the gospel in Rome (Romans 1/15), but did he ever boast “Rome shall be saved”? In fact Rome certainly was not saved! It seems that Taylor is not only mimicking Bonnke's questionable methods, but also his inflated statistics and bogus healings. Can Taylor produce medical evidence to substantiate any of the claimed “healings” resulting from the “outpouring”? It has now emerged that the “Welsh outpouring” was predicated on a lie from the very beginning:

Richard Taylor has nothing original to offer, he simply mimics the unbiblical ideas of his fellow heretics such as Tommy Tenney (The Favour of the King), and false prophets such as Bonnke. He does all this under the guise of replicating the genuine Welsh revival of 1904/5, with unbiblical methods and wicked associations. I say confidently that no genuine move of God will come from this “Welsh Outpouring” only error, deception and in the end wrath.

Leave your simple (foolish) ways, and live, and walk in the way of insight. (Proverbs 9/6).

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.(2 Corinthians 11/13-15; 1 Timothy 4/1-3; 2 Timothy 3/8-13; 1 John 2/18-19; 4/1-4; 2 Peter 2/1-2).

…..evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3/12)

Therefore do not become partners with them.....(Ephesians 5/7)

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6/14)

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 2 Corinthians 13/5
