Changing Your Thought Pattern

Updated on November 4, 2009

Have you ever found yourself thinking about things that are not good thoughts or Godly thoughts?

In our minds is where we carry alot of bad things and good things, it all begins the way we think. Changing our thought patterns is a must while we are living a christian life on earth, the way we think is who we are. When we first become saved Satan see's our minds as a battlefield for him to destroy, but when we memorize scripture we can fight the battle with God's word and win.

When we worry and think of bad things this gives the evil one a hold on us. Jesus said don't worry about tomorrow it has enough worries of its own. When our thoughts stray away from God's word Satan could take a hold of our minds, this is why we must think of things that are worthy, that are happy and things we can do to glorify God.

Memorizing His word brings Him glory and protects us from satan's sceems. So when you find your self thinking off track memorize a scripture and fight back.

God is there holding you up and His ways will keep us all standing in victory.

Yes, Betty, having our minds renewed in line with the Word of God is one of the most powerful tools we have for living a victorious Kingdom life. Researchers have estimated that 80 % of our self-talk is negative. This is not a formula for winning. Having the Lord's Word downloaded onto our inner hard drive is!

So needed to read this today, obviously we have to continue to think Godly thoughts in the midst of human - events that challenge our faith - it's the devil, and no matter what we have the power inside to overcome him, and live in peace. Great Hub!

I struggle with this every day. I have gotten into the habit of stinkin' thinkin' and it has been hard to get over it, but with God's help I'm sure I can do it. Thanks for your hub. Very enlightening. Aloha!

You shall keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

I have made the above scripture my daily companion and I keep my mind stayed on Him, you can't believe how much trouble I avoid and how much better I am at relating with others. Those angry and bitter thoughts hardly torment and make me a vengeful person. God takes charge and gives me peace. Thanks sister.

It's so very true; what we think is what we are and we can all change our lives by changing our thoughts within.

If we think goodness and happiness, then that will come to us.
