The Best Christian Music

Worship is so important. Here is a list of some of my favorite contemporary worship music whether you are a new Christian looking to find worship music, or are just looking for some new music to spice up your collection. Let me know of your favorite artists in the comment section!

Hillsong Church is located in Australia. The main worship is named Hillsong, but they also have Hillsong United which is their youth band, and they also have Hillsong Kids. Together they have many CD's out with a lot of great worship music. They are definitely my all time favorite group!

Kari Jobe was born on April 6, 1981. She is the worship pastor at Gateway Church located in Southlake, Texas. In 2009 her first major album was released that is self-titled. Today, she is going on mission trips and is touring with her band and she continues to write songs.

Big Daddy Weave is a Christian band with 5 members in it. The band formed in 2002, after meeting in college. They have released many albums over the years and they are continuing to tour and to release new music.

Chris Tomlin (May 4, 1972) is a worship leader who writes many of his songs. He was on staff at Austin Stone Community church in his hometown in Texas. He is also a worship leader at many Passion events.

Elevation Church was formed about 7 years ago. Elevation Worship was a vision that the pastor had from the beginning. They are still recording new songs.

David Crowder Band made some great music, but unfortunately split in 2012. Some of their music is a little bit odd, but a lot of it is good. The band released their first album in 1998 and have released several after that.

Matt Redman (February 14, 1974) is a worship leader and songwriter from the United Kingdom. He and his family are a part of St. Peters Church located in London. He has been leading worship all over the world since he was 20 years old. He also has written 4 books on worship.

Israel Houghton (May 19, 1971) is often known as Israel and New Breed. He is a worship leader at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas (Joel Osteens church) and is know for his multi-cultural worship. His worship is often very passionate and upbeat.

Jeremy Camp (January 12, 1978) is a Christian musician who grew up in Lafayette, Indiana. He is currently still touring.

Steven Curtis Chapman (November 21, 1962) released his first album in the late 80's. He is a musician, songwriter and author. He has produced over 20 albums. He is also an advocate for adoption and his wife and him created the Show Hope charity to help international orphans.

The Desperation Band started as the youth group band at New Life Church in Colorado Springs in 2001. The band travels around the world doing concerts and conferences.
