Cleansing Inner Vessel God's Atonement

Righteous Principles are not the property of a particular faith, but the heritage of ALL people of faith and principle.

God's atonement is the highest form of Love because He laid down His mortal life for all humans, paying the price for sin through suffering until death. What better way to show someone love than to lay down life itself?

The following is a poem about how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can cleanse the inner vessel of any person. Knowing that the hurts, pains, sufferings, and spiritul wounds of life are understood and paid for in Jesus Christ is the key to making it through. If we repent, those things will not haunt us for eternity, only in this moment called life are we subject to some of them.

When my spirit was weak, and my heart did ache,

I turned to the Lord, and my pain did still stay.

I wondered why when I know I gave my best

To serve God with praise and service with no rest.

In prayer, I asked Him from where comes all this woe?

God's still voice came to me. “Your pains I do know."

"It was not when nails were placed inside my hands."

"In Roman history that was common then."

"Nor nails in my feet or a slash in my side—

Those were small compared to how hard I was tried."

"What made me know your woes, hurts, which are not few?"

"Sorrows, sins, pains, sicknesses that I suffered through."

"I know wanting to quit or find another way."

"I asked Father 'Take the bitter cup' that day."

"Alone, depressed--feelings I had on my own!"

"On top of that, I paid for sins--hurt to bone!

"None were mine, sins--never in all life.

"Would I sin--pain I had not known 'til that night."

"'Aba, remove this cup; but, Thy will be done.'"

"No rest for me, Father knew, the Holy One."

"I tell you this now, not to harrow you up."

"Understand I know your bitter woeful cup."

"I don't expect from you my same suffering."

"You must bear your personal Gethsemane."

Our Own Personal Gethsemane

"Joy to know this too will pass, my little son."

"Endure it well, as have I, my little one.”

With those words in my heart and my eyes in tears,

I suffer still for what seems like many years.

I never understood understanding Christ

Would, with it, bring suffering into my Life.

Now I know when good times come to remember

As with a year, it ends in life's December.

When death comes I will not run. This confession

Is proof of my faith in the resurrection.

Heaven, a place I know where God I will meet.

This will help me appreciate life so sweet.

So stand I before the Lord, heart full of joy

Life divine, Life of Love in God evermore

To see His face is what my soul doth wrestle.

Christ's Love and Power cleans the inner vessel.

Start From Where You Are

The journey through life is a hard one. It is not meant to be filled with ease and comforts only but the full range of emotional spectral sensations. To become like the Savior and God, as we are commanded there is a starting point. The starting point is realizing that the process is not one that must be walked alone. Elder Jeffery R. Holland of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints states of Jesus Christ,

I believe in His perfection, and I know we are His spiritual sons and daughters with divine potential to become as He is. I also know that, as children of God, we should not demean or vilify ourselves, as if beating up on ourselves is somehow going to make us the person God wants us to become. No! With a willingness to repent and a desire for increased righteousness always in our hearts, I would hope we could pursue personal improvement in a way that doesn’t include getting ulcers or anorexia, feeling depressed or demolishing our self-esteem. That is not what the Lord wants for Primary children or anyone else who honestly sings, “I’m trying to be like Jesus.”

Yes, it is a process by which humans, all of us willing to submit our limited knowledge and powerful wills to the loving, cleansing will of God through Jesus Christ, can find peace in this life. Joy that past mistakes will not cloud our eternities brings a pleasant complete satisfaction that allows us to operate in this life in the perfection of Jesus Christ. It is possible to have true peace and love in this life if we fully commit to living the principle of love of God, family, our fellow men, and ourselves in that order.
