DECEMBER 21st 2012 – CATASTROPHIC EVENTS AND THE END OF THE WORLD?
Phenomena Suggesting an Eschatological Outcome for December 21 2012:
- The Mesoamerican long calendar, sometimes known as the Mayan Calendar has lasted for 5,125 years and ends on December 21st 2012.
- Planet X or Nibiru – collision with a black hole, planet or passing asteroid.
- A polar shift bringing about very rare astronomical alignments will occur during the winter solstice on December 21st 2012 creating floods and calamities etc.
- Solar flares will increase to the point that earth will be destroyed or drastically affected.
- New Age suggestions of a spiritual transformation which includes catastrophic events derived from spiritual entities claiming superior knowledge.
Mayanist scholars have found no evidence that a catastrophic event will occur in 2012. Similarly astronomers and scientists alike have debunked the idea of cataclysmic events occurring in 2012 and have rejected the phenomena as pseudoscience. According to NASA, there is an increase in solar activity, but even the biggest solar flares are not powerful enough to physically destroy the Earth (nasa.gov). Unless there is a conspiracy to cover up the dangers of these phenomena (which can’t be ruled out), then we can disregard their danger to the earth.
New Age prophecies about catastrophic events at the end of 2012 are more difficult because they do not rely primarily on any scientific or physical evidence, but are astrological and spiritual in origin. A global ‘transformation of consciousness’ is primarily linked to the concept of the debunked galactic alignment. The New Age cannot be classified as a fringe movement because it is inextricably linked with The New World Order whose proponents are the most powerful people in the world whose beliefs are Luciferian (Satanic). The United Nations, The Federal Reserve, the World Bank, the Bank of America etc. are infested with New Age Luciferianism. New Age Luciferian Freemasons and their Hindu/masonic religion is based on messages channelled from entities they call ‘ascended masters’.
José Argüelles was the first person to prophecy the end date of December 21st 2012 in his book The Mayan Factor. Argüelles said that his tools and calendar were not the Mayan Calendar but that his ideas were more esoteric in origin. Following Argüelles are Terence McKenna claiming to be indwelt by the Incarnate LOGOS; Daniel Pinchbeck alleged communication with Aztec snake god Quetzalcoatl; David Wilcock, bi-sexual psychic who channels the entity known as the sun god Ra; also John Major Jenkins, Michael Tsario, Barbara Marx Hubbard et al. In Biblical terms this is nothing short of witchcraft and divination (in many cases drug induced). These practices are absolutely condemned in the Bible.
It is quite typical of these people to communicate in elaborate mystical ‘scientific’ language that lacks authenticity with the academic community, though many people find it very convincing. This is what the apostle Paul called fine-sounding arguments (Colossians 2/2-4). Having dismissed what they call the ‘traditional positivist scientific perspective’ for a ‘superior understanding of science’, New Age mystics bypass reason and say whatever they like without reference to anyone else . Blinded by ego and pride they imagine themselves to be the spiritual ‘elite’ and rely on subjective intuition rather than having any real knowledge or superiority. Their teachings are of a spiritually deceptive nature which makes them very persuasive and dangerous. These people are the enemies of Christianity and biblically the ‘ascended masters’ they communicate with are in fact unclean spirits - that is, demons.
But wicked people and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3/13)
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latertimes some will renounce the faith by paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons (1 Timothy 4/1)
It appears that Satan himself is pushing for a ‘Worldshift’ (metamorphosis/change in cosmic consciousness /conscious evolvement/awakening or whatever they want to call it) at the end of 2012 in order to bring about a one world religion. All ‘resistors’ will be accused of holding everyone back from progressing to the spiritual evolution and new utopia as separatist enemies of the so called enlightenment, genocide being the result. The Bible says that Christians will be singled out for genocide because they will refuse to worship the false Christ. Since Satan is a liar, we cannot trust in his timeline or anything else coming from his followers. Having said that, something to consider is that the world leaders are definitely preparing for something. Underground bases and bunkers worldwide, the FEMA camps and coffins throughout America etc. suggest that perhaps they do know something we don’t after all!
MATTHEW 24: SIGNS OF THE TIMES
The only reliable source of prophecy is the Bible which is proven to be 100% accurate historically up to this present time. The Bible does predict catastrophic events at the end of the age. However it does not give us specific dates concerning these, but rather speaks in terms of the signs of the times.
The sign most warned about by Jesus Christ is that there will be the greatest spiritual deception the world has ever seen. In fact God Himself sends a powerful delusion because people have rejected the truth:
The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false,so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned. (2 Thessalonians 2/9-12)
The Bible warns of a time when sound doctrine will be despised and Jesus’ followers will be persecuted and put to death. False prophets and false messiahs are a major issue which Jesus warned about emphatically. When the disciples asked Jesus what would characterize the sign of His coming and of the end of the age, the very first thing he said was: "Beware that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, "I am the Messiah!'and they will lead many astray.”(Matthew 24/4-5) Jesus went on to speak about wars and rumours of wars, famines, earthquakes in various places and then went back again to re-emphasise spiritual deception 24/10-11; 23-24).The end times are described in terms of birth pangs which increase in intensity until they are continuous without cessation. Then they will hand you over to be tortured and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. Then many will fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because of the increase of lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold.(Matthew 24/9-12) And this good newsof the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.So when you see the desolating sacrilege standing in the holy place, as was spoken of by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand) (Matthew 24/14-15)
THE BOOK OF DANIEL
He shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall make sacrifice and offering cease; and in their placeshall be an abomination that desolates, until the decreed end is poured out upon the desolator. (Daniel 9/27)
The above verse gives the information that He (the Antichrist) will make a strong covenant with many for one week (seven years) – this event will mark the beginning of the seven year tribulation period. In order for the Jewish sacrifices to cease they need to be reintroduced (this implies that the temple will have to be rebuilt).
Some Signs of the End of The Age:
Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 26/36)
1. Israel is on the brink of conflict with her immediate neighbours. (Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17)
2. Russia (Magog) together with other nations (Persia, Cush and Put) will attack Israel when she feels secure. (Ezekiel 38/2-6; 11)
3. Preparations are underway to rebuild the Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
4. A seven year peace agreement (covenant) between a one world leader (the Antichrist) and Israel. (Daniel 9/27)
5. A one world government – New World Order. (Revelation 13/13)
6. A one world religion (New Age) which will outlaw Christianity. (Revelation 13/8)
7. Apostasia – Many people will fall away/depart from Christianity. (2 Thessalonians 2/3; 1Timothy 4/1; Amos 8/11 )
Many signs of the end of the age are being brought into being at this present time, which leads me to believe that we are on the very brink of the things Jesus Christ spoke about.
To conclude, The New Age is at total variance with the Bible, it has no scientific or academic validity and it defies reason, so why should we follow it? More to the point, what will happen to us if we do follow it? The world will definitely not end in 2012 because this does not fit into the biblical timeframe, but I do believe that we will witness catastrophic events in the near future. More positively however, the Luciferian agenda, though well underway, is doomed to failure:
The Assyrian (Antichrist) will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod. And every stroke of the staff of punishment that the Lord lays upon him will be to the sound of timbrels and lyres; battling with brandished arm he will fight with him.For his burning placehas long been prepared; truly it is made ready for the king, its pyre made deep and wide, with fire and wood in abundance; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it. (Isaiah 30 31-33)
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2 7-8)
