Do not look for the reason

Updated on September 10, 2012

There is no reason for it

But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’ John 15:25

Some people just hate Jesus in their gut. There is no reason for it. Isn’t that kinda like prejudice? Someone says: I don’t like that man or woman because they are _____ (fill in the blank). They don’t even know the man or woman but don’t like them because of their colour or clothes they wear.

The last, if not the greatest, of the human freedoms: to choose their own attitude in any given circumstance. Bruno Bettelheim

Some people are like that with Jesus. They don’t even know Him but have a vile distain for Him.

So when someone rejects Jesus don’t bang your head against the wall trying to figure out why. They will give you all kinds of goofy reasons why they don’t believe just to avoid talking about Him so don’t try to figure them out. Just share Him with them and if they turn their backs on Him, as sad as it is, accept it. It is not you they are rejecting it is Jesus. Leave it in His hands.

Remember, you may choose your sin, but you cannot chose the consequences. Jenny Sanford

Prayer: I ask Jehovah Rohi (God our Sheppard) please comfort me when those I share you with use stupid reasons tp reject you. Move me Holy Spirit to know when it is time to walk away. I ask this in the name of Him who walked away from those who rejected Him when He walked the earth, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

      Hi sherri.

I agree. We must walk the walk before we talk the talk. Our attitudes and behaviour is the best witness.

      God bless you.

Sometimes I think that people reject Jesus because of a perception they may have developed concerning Christianity. This is why it is important for us to be salt and light as we have been commanded. The world, after all, is watching.
