Does it really matter in the end?
Love other as Jesus loves you.
Does it really matter?
Avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. —2 Timothy 2:23 New International Version
Have you ever read Gulliver’s Travels? Do you remember the part where the two different types of people were ready to go to war over which way to crack open an egg? Sounds silly doesn’t it?
How many silly wars have you been in? How about getting into arguments about which sports teams are the best? Does it really matter? Is it worth a friendship? How about who is going to do the dishes? How many screaming matches has that started? Why not sit down and talk about who will do what and write the list down? Then, uphold your end of the agreement without being a whine puppy? If you can’t agree then use rock, papers, and scissors.
Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Barbara Johnson
You know one time when I was tree planting this couple planting beside me were in a full out screaming match. You know why? Because the guy refused to believe girls fart? Sounds stupid huh?
Well how many of those stupid wars have you been in? If you’re in one now, why not go and apologize and sit down and talk it out? If you still can’t reach an agreement, for Gods sake go get some help. Go to a councilor. It’s better than destroying a relationship or friendship over.
“The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” James 3:18New International Version
Prayer: Please Jehovah Shalom (God of our peace) always guide my words and actions that I may be a peace maker, not a trouble maker. When encountering trouble makers. guide me on how to make peace with them. If they refuse to be in a respectful harmonious relationship with me, give me the strength to walk away and leave them in Your wise and strong hands. I ask this in the name of the Prince of peace, Jesus Christ .Amen. May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
