Does the universe get finished?

Updated on May 30, 2024

Who Has Measured the Universe?

The Vast Universe

Has anyone measured the vastness of the universe? Earth is just a minuscule part of this vast universe which can never be traversed across. Some stars, whose light has been journeying to reach earth yet, are already dead or blackholes. That means, the universe is bigger than (the life of a star which is about a million years) multiplied by (the speed of light per year). Mind-boggling! Humanly speaking, the universe has no end - in terms of distance nor in terms of time - because human knowledge is not enough even to cover the solar system.

The Big Bang Goes for A Six

With such a limited knowledge about this universe, theories about this universe such as the Big Bang Theory and theories of evolution such as the Darwin's Theory are just idle talk.

Faulty Time Measurement

Added to the limitations of science is the faulty concepts of measurement of age of things based on radiocarbons, which was recently proved to be wrong in many cases. The link: http://www.biblicalchronologist.org/answers/c14_method.php gives vivid explanation about the common mistakes and false beliefs that are prevalent among the scientists which they knowingly ignore to prove themselves right. Take for instance, the dissolving of ice bergs near the poles during the recent years. Scientists say that the volume of ice melted in three years is equivalent to the ice that used to melt in over 120 years. If a small rise in temperature that has been recorded in the recent past could prove all their findings of melting of ice void, the history of the whole earth cannot be reliably defined by the scientists.

What Will Happen to You and Me?

Having to answer a very big question about a very big universe could be out of scope of this blog itself - however, there's something of more concern to us that we should ponder upon. Today, if it is the end of this world, what would happen to me? Some people believe that death would mean the end of the world for anyone and there is nothing after that. However, the Bible has been teaching over and over again that after death, the spirit of man would return to the One who sent it into this world, at the birth of the individual. Also, there is a life after death, and the soul of man will live even after the death in this world. And there are only two destinations for that soul of the person - One is down below in the lake of fire called HELL, and the other is a resurrected life with the Lord Jesus Christ who is the way to that wonderful place of glory, that is called HEAVEN. Nobody can escape this destiny. You may not believe this - and if it were false, you lose nothing, nor do the one's who believe it gain a thing. On the other hand, if it were true and you have not prepared yourself to meet the King of Kings in the Heavens, you are doomed. Jesus can save you today from meeting that dreadful end.

The Conclusion

The universe does not get finished. There is an Eternal Kingdom which will remain forever and ever, even after the world passes away... and the Lord Jesus Christ is crowned King of that Eternal Kingdom.
