Have you ever thought about increasing your wealth by giving donations? yes, donations increases your wealth and not the opposite. Donation is Sadaqa in Islam. Donation is literally giving out anything you own as a form of a donation. Allah SWT has promised whoever gives out donation will get more of whatever he/she has given it out. Donation brings rewards and blessings. The rewards from Allah SWT to the person whoever gives donations not only in this life but also the rewards become in the hereafter. The rewards from Allah SWT in the hereafter is multiple times of what we give out in this life which is really incredible. Anything you give out come back to you multiple times. If you give out money Allah will give you back if you give out clothes Allah will give you back clothes and if you give out (elm) knowledge Allah will give you back more knowledge.

Donation is a way of happiness as the person who gives out feels the joy and happiness as well as the person who receives it. You can become happy by helping others become happy as well. Donations also increases self-esteem. The act of helping others make us feeling better about ourselves.

There are various ways to give donations even a smile to your brother is a charity. You can help the needy poor people such as refugees, homeless, children or animals. There are a lot of orphan children worldwide who are desperate for your help. You can help a homeless person if you can buy a meal to relief his/her hunger or you can give clothes or a blanket. There are a lot of refugees whom are desperate for kind hearts to help them getting over their hardships. Animals are precious creators. Allah SWT and the prophet Mohammed PBUH have commanded us to treat animals with compassion and mercy. One of the a companions of the prophet Mohammed PBUH is Abu Huraira was given this name as (a father of cats) because of his passion to cats and wherever he used to go he always had a cat with him. In Hadith of Sahih Bukhari, narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "While a dog was going round a well and was about to die of thirst, an Israeli prostitute saw it and took off her shoe and watered it. So Allah forgave her because of that good deed."In another Hadith text, the Prophet told his companions of a woman who would be sent to Hell for having locked up a cat; not feeding it, nor even releasing it so that it could feed herself." Bill Gates is one of the richest people in the world has donated around 27 billion dollars to charities which is nearly half of his wealth.

Sadaqa can prevent a lot of bad things that could happen including illness. Sadaqa cures illnesses and there are many stories of people who became cured after they have given out sadaqa. "When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)" Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim.

One of the signs of the day of judgement is that poverty will end from the world and muslims will be trying to give sadaqa out to gain some rewards from Allah but at that time no one will accept it from anyone. Our way of gaining rewards from Allah SWT through giving sadaqa is still open, so take it as an advantage for your self and give out sadaqa. I am not saying to give out all you have but I am saying give out what you can and Allah SWT will reward you. We can help less fortunate people and our communities as every little helps.
