Don't Quarantine Your Faith
Faith is the substance
How is your faith in the midst of Covid 19? Has coronavirus thrown you into chaos in your spiritual life? Has it strengthened your faith?
Let me ask another question...
Have you ever actually let your faith out of quarantine? Has it been locked up for years in the walls of your churches? Has it been locked within the walls of your heart never reaching out for those who have no idea the meaning of salvation?
God help us. I know that in many instances I personally have let my faith be quarantined. Afraid of the looks or the blank stares I may receive as I put my faith into words and therefore into action as it was meant to be. How many conversations do I regret not having? How many prayers with others do I regret not praying? I have to say, more than a few.
Should I make a declaration this day to share my faith regardless of the consequences? By all means, I should.
My brothers and sisters in Christ that live in severe persecution in foreign countries demand it. The very books of the bible itself that speaks of the torture of the saints demands it. The lost and hungry soul that thirsts for living water demands it. The addicted and the wounded and the abused demand it. In fact, Christ himself demands it.
I ask today that I be forgiven for holding my faith in quarantine. May I never again regret that I didn't share my faith, May I press on towards the mark, and take as many people with me to heaven as I can.
Lord let me live my faith, speak my faith, BE my faith.
But most of all, Let me point to the Cross, to the man that hung there, The God who became flesh, and let me tell others, This is He who set me free, He can do the same for you.
