Don't use the sword, use the sauve

Updated on May 29, 2011

Let us heal not wound

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing            Proverbs 12:18, New International Version

Be careful what you say. It may hurt someone much more than you know. How many girls have committed suicide because the other girls teased and taunted them so much they hurt so bad the killed themselves? Their blood will be on your hands. How many times have we gotten enjoyment out of making fun of others because they do not look like us, talk like us? The list goes on on and on

On the other hand, how many times has a kind word healed a hurting or broken heart? Not only does that do good for the moment it may also ultimately lead that person to Jesus. How many simple but kind words of wisdom have ended up changing the course of a persons life, from one of self destruction to leading a fulfilling live with Jesus?

Please, choose your words carefully. Ask God to use you to speak His words to others today and every day

Prayer: my loving Father, ALWAYS guide my words that they will not just bring glory to You, but that they may comfort, heal and encourage others. In Jesus’ sweet name I pray. Amen

May the sunshine of Gods love for you bless you today and every day
