Earthbound Angels: Humans Above and Beyond

Updated on August 25, 2011

A little something about me and my journey.

For starters, I'm going to cover a few things about myself and my writing here to clarify where I'm coming from.

First, students who come to my pages here should know that I am not a 'reliable source' in the world of academia, as I have no certification, ordainment or education on file anywhere regarding the subject of angels. If your professor wants you to write a paper and the subject is angels, don't reference me, you'll lose points.

Second, I am an eclectic pagan, drawing from personal studies of several faiths and beliefs. Sometimes information conflicts. This is bound to happen, as the information humanity has recorded on these beings spans generations and continents. When communicating directly with angels words are used far less than pure mental understanding and pure emotional connection, which are often beyond the ability of words to convey. What is available in print from the centuries before is in my opinion is the best interpretation the author at that time could accomplish with the understanding he or she had. Some of my readers are going to disagree with me, and some of those will quote from holy books and manuscripts. I am not here to disagree with anyone's religion or say that this line from that book is wrong. Rather, my intent is to share what I have learned and am learning, and I encourage everyone to use their own common sense when dealing with the subject of what they believe in.

Angels among us

Today I'm going to cover two sorts of 'angels among us'. The first kind are the immaterial and invisible sort, the second are in fact humans who have done such things that they have earned the honorific. I do not mean to suggest in this writing that angels go into human lives or bodies, though I may address this subject at a later date.

So in regard to the immaterial and invisible, there are several sorts. Many have heard about the Thrones, Seraphim, etc., but for right now I'm going to focus on the ones that spend most of their time a little closer. The most common title for these are Guardian Angels. I was once asked by a friend if I thought they reproduced as often as we humans did in order for there to be one for each of us, and I didn't have an answer at the time.

Over the years, the answer came to me as seeming obvious, even though it wasn't at the time of the question. It is my belief that Guardian Angels outnumber us to such a degree that until humanity comes to an end there will still be more of them than us even at the peak of our population. If one were to go to a quiet place, empty their mind, and listen for the message these Messengers are carrying, then one would feel their presence, receiving the message with greater understanding than language can convey. That's all I'm going to write about them for right now.

Now as for humans who have earned the title of Earthbound Angel. There are people in the world for whom anger is a foreign concept. Their presence is calming and their faces serene. To be held in their arms is to feel utterly safe and free. In my life, I have met two. The first made me believe it was possible to meet such people, the second was a guide and teacher who introduced me to the angelic realms. If one keeps their eyes and hearts open, they can be found just about anywhere. This is not to say that these people are faultless, as all we humans have our shortcomings, but rather I say that these people have a great deal to teach each of us. To observe a person who cannot be perturbed is to recognise that it is possible for the same within yourself.

So go ahead and open your mind and heart, and you just might be surprised to find out there is an Earthbound Angel in your life. Take a minute to comment below, telling me about your Earthbound Angel.
