Earthquakes Will Increase...Jesus Christ

Updated on August 25, 2014

Can anyone doubt that we are in the End Times? All you have to do is look at the morning headlines and it is obvious. There have been countless major earthquakes in Haiti, Chili, Taiwan,Turkey,Baja Mexico including California, Japan and even in New York City! Most recently is the earthquake in Napa, California. All of these earthquakes were major quakes. It is recorded in three of the four gospels that earthquakes will increase before the second coming of Christ. In Matthew 24: 7 and 8 it says:

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

In Luke 21:10 & 11 Jesus says: Then said he unto them:

Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Nation has already risen against nation in two world wars, and the unending war against terror. Now earthquakes are starting to increase, I guess the next thing to look for is the signs from heaven.

In fact, the number of earthquakes have gone up exponentially in the past 100 years. The chart below shows just that.

Prophecies were given to us by God as a testimony of who God is and to encourage us to turn from our own ways and submit to God's. God says in Isaiah:

Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Isa 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Isa 46:12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:

Isa 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

I can only hope and pray that for your own sake that you will not ignore the counsel of God. I wrote another hub about 15 End Time prophecies that have happened and 5 that will if you are interested in other prophecies. Here is the link:

In Second Thessalonians it says:

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I implore you to love the truth and be not deceived while there is still time. The increase in earthquakes is just one of many signs and prophecies that the Bible has that points to this being the "End Times" right before Jesus returns. More and more prophecies will be fulfilled. The question is will you ignore the warnings that God has given you or will you repent and follow Jesus Christ while you still have time. The answer to that question is the most important answer you will ever decide.

Yes, they are willfully ignorant...and the Bible talks of that too!

Brie I really think that most people as much as they try to deny it know deep down that we are reaching the conclusion. All the earthquakes and now that volcano in Iceland has put Europe on hold. Social upheaval not only here in the USA but Thailand and other parts of the planet. How can anyone with half a brain not look at all this and know something is really wrong ? Not to mention the fact that anyone who is Christian is reviled these days , just like scripture says. It Is a hard reality to look at. So most choose to keep watching " Dancing with the Stars " and going to their yoga classes and act like its not happening.

This scripture just sums it all up. It's worth writing it down twice

(2 Timothy 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

(2 Timothy 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

Brie, this is only the icing on the cake. As a scholar of the Bible for more than 20 years and the accuracy of prophecy, I can assure you that the Bible stands alone in it's totality for prophesying future events and that is why it is the only book I subscribe to.

Just a simple study on the scriptures fulfilled by Christ alone are amazing. But remember Christ also stated, "If they hate you, remember it's because they hated Me first". And that is exactly what we are seeing these days.

Unbelievers will criticize and mock but guess what, they never dare to refute because they don't have the knowledge to do so. When they don't do the research, how can they.

It was the research and investigations done by major atheists like CS Lewis, Lee Strobel and Josh McDowell that completely changed them from Atheists to Christians.

      Nuff said!

Well. . .that made me feel a bit convicted (thank you). I love the story in the Good Book, about when Yahshua / Jesus was riding the foal donkey (as was prophesied); and many of the 'religeous' people of the crowd were asking the Christ to silence the crowd. Then Jesus said, if they didn't do this (in order to fulfill Prophecy; Luke 19:40; I do believe), that the very stones would cry out, for the rule of the Messiah.

I believe that is what is happening with eathquakes increasing. The very stones and foundations of the earth are shaking and crying out, for the peaceful and just rule of the Sar Shalome (Prince of Peace). In the Prophecy of Isaiah, we are told, that when the Messiah returns, that the mountains will burst forth into song, and that the trees and rivers would clap hands(Is. 55:12 - I think). What a beautiful day that will be.

Also, I recently read that in the last 30 years, catastrophic earthquakes (7.0 richter and above), have increased by 3,000%. This is no coincidence.

Thanks for the great hub. -Joshua.

(2 Timothy 3:1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

(2 Timothy 3:2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

(2 Timothy 3:3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

      (2 Timothy 3:4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

(2 Timothy 3:5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(2 Timothy 3:6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

(2 Timothy 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

(2 Timothy 3:8) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

(2 Timothy 3:9) But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

(2 Timothy 3:10) But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

(2 Timothy 3:11) Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

(2 Timothy 3:12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

(2 Timothy 3:13) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

      (2 Timothy 3:14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

(2 Timothy 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

(2 Timothy 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(2 Timothy 3:17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

My own peril. Wow, threats from a godbot. How typical.

I will take my chances with reality, because that is all we have.

No one said that they should be ignored, all I am writing is that the increase in Earthquakes was prophesied by Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago, ignore HIM at your own peril.

It is good to know that all other earthquakes and disasters in history, whether clustered or not, can be ignored to fit your godbot mentality.

It is NATURE. The planet goes through changes. Put down the fairy tales and read some history & geology. Ignorance is not bliss- it is ignorance and that is lack of knowledge.

I just wrote a letter to my brother ~ there are quite a few very alarming things happening right now: the wars (and the threat of war); the earthquakes, famines and pestilences (many brought about by these natural disasters); the killing of Christians is on the rise; false prophets are rampant (calling themselves Christians); the antichrist system is being exposed ~ there's an implantable RFID chip in Obama's healthcare reform bill (public option); progressive/socialism is rearing its ugly head ~ bringing about the unconstitutional census forms coming out (100 questions?). Between 1942 and 1947 the second War Powers Act was passed, and the Census was used to round up the Japanese into internment camps.

Operation Paperclip has been exposed, which brought Nazi war criminals into the U.S. for protection! And while populaton control is buzzing in the air, we've got Obama's Science Czar saying the Constitution does not give anyone the right to bear children (forced abortion movement), while Muslims are popping out an average of eight children per couple, infiltrating every nation on earth. Islamic jihadists in the U.S. are keeping us in a state of spiritual warfare.

Our nation is being weakened with our current government. Funny how the Constitution is referenced by the Science Czar, but breaking the Constitution is evident in the 51 votes accepted to pass healthcare reform when 60 are required by the Constitution!

Shall I go on? I think I'll post a hub on these things. May we not fear, as Jesus said, and know His return is imminent!! Praise God; we have HOPE!!

It is as if God is shaking up the whole world to get their attention. It is working for some. Others I guess that's why the earthquakes will keep on a coming. I'll hold on to something and keep on a prayin'.
