July started with the New Moon in Cancer on July 2 which caused us to feel more emotional and sensitive than usual, as well as more open to those realms we can only sense with our intuition rather than our five senses. It was a dreamy, unstable, and mystical period that is soon to be replaced by the Full Moon in Capricorn. We are likely to feel empowered, ambitious, and more focused on the realm we experience with our five senses.

This article will help you understand what the Full Moon in Capricorn brings and how to best welcome it and reap the rewards it can bring if embraced.

Understanding July 2019

July 2019 is the month of self-improvement, independence, and individual growth.

Numerologically speaking, July is 1 universal month. This is calculated by adding the number of the month to the number of the year.

MONTH = 7

YEAR = 2019 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3

MONTH + YEAR = 7 + 3 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1

In numerology and astrology, 1 symbolizes individual expression and path, leadership, new beginnings, pioneering spirit and overall optimism about new endeavours of all kinds. Just think of the strong-willed, bold, and driven Ram that is Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.

All of us may be experiencing an unyielding desire to start something new. It is not exactly a matter of wanting to simply follow a new path, but rather of creating a path of your own because of the heightened need for authenticity we are likely to experience during this month.

July offers a very supporting influence on such ventures, bringing us mostly positive outcomes that serve as a fuel that puts us back into high gear so we can continue our new, exciting journey.

Full Moon in Capricorn

Understanding Capricorn in general is not an easy task.

This mysterious goat may seem as a fragile being, while in reality is able to climb the highest mountains once it puts its mind to it. Capricorn is a master of turning dreams into a reality and it reaches its goals with patience and endurance.

Therefore, full Moon in Capricorn brings promise of a successful new beginning. During this influence, we tend to be much more focused on our professional and financial goals, so it is likely that we will try to find new, original ways of collecting more material goods.

However, Capricorn is definitely a sign of integrity and respect. You shouldn’t try to achieve material gain quickly and without enough planning and preparation. Also, it is highly advisable to try to earn money by doing something you fell like you actually should be doing because a Cappy without self-respect is definitely not a happy one and this is the case with the full Moon in Capricorn as well.

Another thing is that Capricorns have an extremely strong sense of duty. Not only do they practice it in their own lives, but they also feel like they should review the duties of others and to give them rewards and punishments accordingly. Therefore, during the full Moon in Capricorn we are likely to examine our relationships with others and our professional choices to see whether they are affecting us in a positive or in a negative way. It is during this full Moon that we are invited to let go of everything that no longer serves us, leaving room for the new beginning that will almost surely take place during July 2019.

Prepare Yourself for the Full Moon in Capricorn

As the Full Moon in Capricorn calls for introspection, resolution, and letting go, there may be some important decisions to be made during this period. It is best to arrive prepared for the party. Here are some of the things you can do to really pinpoint what it is that you are invited to do and to make this shift as light as possible for yourself.

  • Journaling.

Journaling is a great method to keep yourself in check in general, but it may be of even more importance during this period when we should try to assess all areas of our lives and determine the areas that we are asked to improve.

  • Affirming the release of negativity.

Be it personal relationships, limiting beliefs, destructive behavioural patterns, professional paths or anything else that is affecting you in a negative way, list them all and make affirmations about releasing them. Affirmations may sound something like:

I release all limiting beliefs that kept me from fulfilling my purpose.

It’s always better to make these affirmations more specific and personal, such as:

I release my fear of rejection that kept me from sharing my writing.

  • Cleansing.

Again, the emphasis of this full Moon is to make room for new beliefs, choices, and ventures. Capricorn rituals in general contain some sort of cleaning symbolizing Capricorn’s rigidness and a need for structure.

Clean your environment, with a special focus on the space where you spend most of your time. Just before the full Moon lights the Earth, clean your body thoroughly. Make this an enjoyable and relaxing experience, so feel free to light some candles, add some bath salt and create an intimate atmosphere.

After you finish cleaning yourself, put on some light, high-quality, clean clothes. Change your bed sheet before you retire for the evening so that you sleep in a clean and fresh environment.

  • Meditating.

When you clean and declutter the environment you’re in, take some time to sit down and meditate. There are some great guided meditations that can be found online for free if you’re not especially comfortable with sitting in silence. If you choose to listen to a guided meditation, choose one that aims to resolve negativity and liberate.
