Encouraging Others - Journal Challenge, Day 24
I am convinced that …
I am an exceptional encourager. I have been encouraging people of all ages since childhood. I was born to encourage; it is one of my innate gifts from God. I frequently receive affirmation and confirmation of my gift from the people I encourage. I have always loved encouraging people in any capacity; it gives me great joy and is so natural that I could do it in my sleep. I also received confirmation of my encouragement gift from an On-Line Spiritual Gifts Test with Automatic Analysis.
According to the test, Encouragement is listed as a Speaking Gift and defined as the ability God gives some to offer comfort, words of encouragement, hope, and reassurance to discouraged, weak, or troubled Christians in such a way that they are consoled. People with this gift come to the side of those who are discouraged to reassure them and give them hope; and they emphasize God’s promises and confidence in His will.
I am convinced that I fit the description and am an exceptional encourager in my offerings of presence, prayers, inspirational books, articles, information, services and words spoken. At every opportunity and to the best of my ability, I seek to do as instructed in 1Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
