Seeking to be Right with God

A blessed Holy Week to you !!! Here is a meditation for this season. May you be blessed by this testimony of once proud woman who wants to have the best things in life but one night she had an encounter with the Word of God that pierced her heart deeply and made her surrender her dreams utterly to God. After this encounter, she will never be the same again.

(Establish Firmly Your Relationship with God)

“And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

Hebrews 10:10 (NIV)

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

John 1:12 (NIV)

A woman must first seek to establish a deep and strong relationship with God to be truly beautiful spiritually. She must first find her worth in her relationship with the Savior to be truly attractive. A woman must see first her need for the Savior, to be truly satisfied by anything in this world. A woman must realize the depravity of her heart to see her need for Christ.

According to Jeremiah 17:9 KJV;

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

If a woman realizes fully the wickedness of her heart then she will surely embrace the cross of Jesus.

We can have a relationship with God only by humbling ourselves before Him, admitting our guilt and putting our faith on Christ's death on the cross. Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is perfect, sufficient and complete. We can be true children of God only by receiving Christ into our hearts.

Receiving Christ involves dethroning of ourselves and yielding completely to His Lordship in all areas of life. It also involves total repentance and abandonment of a sinful, worldly and self-centered lifestyle.

During the times of Jesus, there lived a woman whose name is Mary Magdalene. Once, her heart had been an abode of ungodly desires. Out of her, Jesus cast seven demons. When she became a follower of Jesus, she was known to be one of the most devout disciples of Christ. Her life which was almost ruined by evil had become a beautiful vessel in the Master’s service. Indeed Christ made this woman beautiful. She is a marvelous work of God’s amazing grace and God is greatly glorified in her life. (Bible Text: Luke 8: 2-3)

Maricris was once a woman whose heart was ruled by her carnal desires and selfish ambitions.

But one night, she had an encounter with the truth and her heart was pierced by God’s Word as it revealed her utter sinfulness. That face to face encounter with the Word of God changed her life forever. She once desired great things for herself for the wrong reasons but after that encounter, she had known that she is greatly loved in spite of her utter depravity and she belonged to Christ to serve Him. She was never been the same again.

A once ambitious woman was humbled and now seek to give the kingdom of God a priority in her life. She made a 180 degree turn from darkness into light. Happiness now for her is not anymore found in the fancy things of this world but in fulfilling the agenda of the kingdom.

Seek God first and He will turn you into a beautiful vessel unto His glory.

“God in His mercy calls us out of darkness and invites us to follow Him in the light.”
