Evidence or Signs of God or Jesus From?

Updated on November 5, 2011

Proof of God?

Sightings of God and/or Jesus, depending on your beliefs, are appearing everywhere. However, when I see some of these "signs" from God, I have to question if this is truly what people are seeing or wanting to see?

Or better yet, is it a joke?

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Miracles and Signs

The common definition of miracle is an event that is an exception to the laws of nature. In the Bible, however, what we call miracles are described as “signs and wonders” or acts of power that are attributed to God.

So, since when do "suggestions" become "signs" ?

I like to believe that if God has a message for us or wants to be seen, by all means he will be. But really folks, in a pancake or the backside of a dog? I would like to think that God has better respect for his creations than that.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know

Act 2:22

Signs are a representation of the power of God and his disciples themselves.

The creation of Adam and Eve, Noahs Ark,and the parting of the Red Sea. The birth, Death and Resurrection of Christ. These are signs. True displays. Miracles.

2 Corinthians 12:12

“Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.”

Are our lives so lost and empty of God and his teachings that we are looking for it in the strangest places?

Or are people fabricating the truth to make a dollar off his name?

People, the signs of God are within us! It is the feeling of full and completeness. God is the one pushing you in the right direction. He is what we call a conscience. I'm not a 'bible thumper' or a religious fanatic as some are referred as, but I do believe in a higher power. I just don't agree with the suggestion that God is showing himself through food or wood grain.

My daughter used to ask how she knew God was with her, I told her that when she gets that 'feeling' not to do something, deep within her stomach and heart, that is God. Follow where he is leading you.

I don't know if people are really thinking these are true signs or sightings of God, but I hope they find enough respect within themselves not to disgrace his name through foolishness.
