A Lesson in Spiritual Warfare:

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds casting down of imaginations and every high thing that exhales itself against the power of God, and brings into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10, 4-5)

A Lesson in Spiritual Warfare:

This is not hand to hand combat this is not a war of words. This is a spiritual battle in your mind, and flesh is your enemies' weapons because of the enticement of sin. Sin attacks all people in three areas lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world.” That's how it went down in the Garden of Eden, and that's how it's going down in our lives, it looks good, it going to make us more than we are, and God just wants to hold us back that is what Satan told EVE, and that’s what Satan telling you and me in this battle for our souls. If we go back to garden in the drop in on Satan's conversation with Eve, we will see this pattern of lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, "Ye shall not surely die for God doth to know that in the day ye eat thereof, and then your eyes shall be open and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (lust of the flesh) pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes) and a tree to be desired to make one wise (the pride of life) Genesis 3, 4 - 6a. The stage was set for man's first defeat and spiritual separation from God Satan would continue to present man with these options until the temptation of Christ with men suffering many spiritual defeats. Volumes of books could be filled with the suffering of mankind because of man's inability to withstand Satan's onslaught in the spiritual realm.

Jesus begins his ministry dealing Satan a blow by winning the Spiritual battle at the place of Temptations sometimes Jesus's first victory over Satan is overshadowed by his final conquest. Before Jesus could claim victory over death it was the unfinished business of lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life, which Jesus defeated with the word of God simply it is written to stop Satan's conquest and paved the way to win spiritual battles over the vices of temptation. Jesus' was a demonstration of the power of the spoken word, as a spiritual weapon, the apostle called it the sword of the sprit and Ephesians chapter six. God's omnipotence was another weapon Jesus use doing his temptation to deal Satan a crushing blow God and God alone are God.

Communion with God is what Satan wants to disrupt Adam and Eve's commune with God daily Satan set out to cut off the communion. Jesus was fasting and praying at the place of temptation Satan wanted to interrupt. If you read your bible, you will find that Daniel, David, Noah, Job, Abraham Moses, and a host of others had to face this same attack.

And casting down Imagination's williamjordan is embarking upon a study on spiritual warfare. there is a spiritual war going on in the body of Christ that requires battle ready Christians to prepare their brothers in sisters in Christ for the coming onslaught of Satan is looking for a spiritually weak church to rise up against. The Apostle Paul left us a defense it's time to study warfare that we might not be as Eve was ignorant of our enemy’s tactics. (2 Corinthians 10, 4-5

The church should have no problem in this current battle if it follows the battle plan that Christ's use at the place of temptation and holds fast to its belief of Christ's victory at cavalry.

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13, Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
