False Doctrines Taught as Truth in Most “churches”. Part 1

Most “churches” in the various denominations, schisms and factions of the church system of men teach some or all of the false doctrines of men as being scriptural, but they are not what the New Testament presents as the truth of scripture. Because there is so much teaching on them most people never bother to look to scripture to “see if they are of God” and just accept them as true. They are ALL an abomination in the eyes of God and Must be exposed to the light of scripture. This series will do just that and since you and only you are responsible for what YOU BELIEVE. I recommend you lay down your prejudices and beliefs and see what scripture really says about each one . After you have compared each one to scripture, then make your decision.

The Doctrine as Commonly Taught.

Most “churches teach them basically the same with a few variations.

THE “ CHURCH” IS A BUILDING WITH A CLERGY/LAITY STRUCTURE

Actual New Testament Version of this Doctrine

THE TRUE CHURCH IS THE PEOPLE IN WHOM THE LORD DWELLS,

NOT A BUILDING, NOT WITH RULES MADE BY MEN BUT SIMPLY GODS DWELLING PLACE WHICH HE CHOSE FOR THE NEW COVENANT. THE TRUE CHURCH HAS NO CLERGY, ALL ARE EQUAL

Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.

1 Cor 16:19-20 The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 20 All the brethren greet you.

NKJV

Churches Teaching this Doctrine

Virtually ALL “churches” teach this false doctrine in some form or another

Charlie I really like how you kept this short and focused on one point. I fully look forward to your series here.

It just troubles me to death this notion of "entering into a church". I cringe when my wife asks me if I am "going to church today?". "A church" is just such a wrong concept. I am sorry but saying "a house of worship" just does not change the concept.

Now do not get me wrong, for many that is better than nothing but football games and beer on Sunday. Or maybe it is not.

We have only lived in our home for about 5 years. I like the mind setting of liturgies. So maybe we have only had about 10 "services" in our home. We will try to do better God willing. Communion is celebrated in our home. A marvelous breaking of bread and a communal mindset focused on Jesus.

The passionate committed life to the ways of Jesus in common with others is the church. Perhaps it is well spoken that we are all temples that shall not be defiled. I just cannot get around Mathew 18:20. Though it is not my calling to attack "churches" but it must be my calling to express my beliefs.
