Definition of the word Haughty: Which means a person that's proud, arrogant and contemptuous to others.

Psalms chapter 131 : Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Proverbs chapter 16 - 18 : Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverb chapter 21 - 24 : Proud and haughty scorns is his name, for his hands refuse to labour.

Isaiah chapter 10 - 33 : Behold, the Lord, the Lord of host, shall lop the bough with terror,and the high ones of stature shall he hewn down and the haughty shall be humbled.

Zephaniah chapter 3 - 11 : In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all doing wherein thou has transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of them that rejoice in the pride and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Haughty: Which means A a person that's proud, arrogant and contemptuous to others, or to show disrespect and contempt for others. This word is hated and looked down upon in God's eyes, we as children of God ; should choose the live with the actions of this word in our lives.

The word haughty shows, arrogance, puffed up, contempt, disrespect and disdainful actions; that repulse God. our father. The bible Tells us that" Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall" the bible warns us, of the actions of a haughty spirit and the consequences that follows after this type of attitude. We have to always remember that we are never to high for God to bring us down, so we shouldn't look down on anyone for any reason.

      I agree.To look down on another person is despicable.I remember this happened to me when i was in grade school.There was an upper class who wore better clothing.It's something i'll never forget.Today,people are looked down for many reasons.Your message is helpful to remind us to love one another and not to judge.Thank you.
