Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 123 Todays word is : Defense"

Updated on January 23, 2010

"Faye's Daily Words of Encouragement # 123 Today's Word Is: Defense"

Definition of the word Defense:Protection from harm: a means of protection: or a justification of an action.

JKob chapter 22- 25 : Yea, the almighty shall be thy denfense, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

Psalms chapter 7 - 10 : My denfense is of God , which saveth the upright in heart.

Psalms chapter 59 - 9 : Because of his strength, will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.

Psalms chapter 62 - 2: He only is my rock  and my salvation ; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved

Psalms chapter 89 - 18 : For the Lord is our defense: and holy one of Israel is our King.

Psalms chapter 94 - 22: But the Lord is my defense: and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Ecclesiastes chapter 7 -12 : For wisdom is a defense and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

Today's word is Defense, a form of protection that we all need , especially the children of God . Let us use the football game as and example: to make a distinctive point. The quarter back  is the object of attention for the opposing tacklers, so they're always trying to find ways and strategy to  get to the quarter back , because he has the football. If the offense is any good at all , they will protect their quarter and the football, to protect form sacks and fumbles; this what's call defense.

To say it plainly; God is our defense, Jesus the quarter back and the children of God is the football, so Jesus holds  us in his precious hands and God protects us form harm or dangers from the adversary and the principalities of this life. As long as we stay in Jesus hand, we have the almighty Protection of God our father. If we need thougher defense, then we call .

Creativeone59: another excellent hub. I love you use of a football game as an example. It simplfies the bottom line, you walk with God at all times, because we believers have a target on our backs and the enemy is aiming at it. The enemy seeks who he will devour and you need the full armor of the Lord as protection. Thank you again for the always timely advise. Blessings to you and yours.

Creativeone, Wonderful thought provoking hub! As we look around we can see that the Scriptures are being fulfilled! There is much spiritual warfare about us! However as God's children we can ALways look to HIM! As you stated: "My defense is of God, which saveth the upright in heart." PRAISE GOD!!!

In only a few moments we have seen the nation of Haiti crumble... Now slowly but surely the world at large is coming to their aid... or should I say defense! Very good example of the Quarterback! In spite of it all, we KNOW that we are ultimately in the hands of the Lord! He has everything UNDER HIS CONTROL!

Thank you for sharing this insightful hub! In His Love & Blessings!
