"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 133 Today's Word Is: Poor"

Definition of the word Poor: Lacking wealth, lacking basic needs, inferior in quality or quantity ; spiritually poor, lacking abundance, poverty stricken, not prosperous, not affluent.

Psalms chapter 40 - 17 : But I am poor and needy yet the Lord thinketh on me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make n o tarry, O my God.

Deuteronomy chapter 15 - 11 : For the poor shall never cease out of the land; the command thee saying thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to the needy,in the land.

Job chapoter 24 -4 : Thy turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.

Job chapter 29 - 16 : I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I know not I searched out.

Proverbs chapter 18 - 23 :The poor useth entreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.

Zechariah chapter 11 - 7 : And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you , O poor of the flock. and I took unto me two staves; the one called beauty ,and the other called bands, and I fed the flock.

Today's daily word is poor, poor is the opposite of rich; not having enough of anything.  The majority of the world is poor and are taken care of by the grace of God.  Being poor sometimes can be a hardship, but it's  no reason to be a shame.  In being poor , you learn to live without  and within your means;you don't have the desire or means to live like the Joneses.  When we're poor we learn what things are important and things are not.

If we were born in a family that doesn't money and  or considered poor, then we learn to use what ever God gives us to make in this life.  When you're poor, we do what ever can help ourselves prosper and we pray and ask God for help with our needs.  The bible tells us  to  not have any thought of tomorrow ; for tomorrow may never come.  The bible also tells us, if God take care of the birds of the air, what more will he do for his children in need.  If we're hungry, God will some how feed us; and take care of our other needs as well.  So, we should be content with what we have , but strive for better things in our lives.
