"Faye's Dailynwords Of Encouragement # 323 Today's Word Is: Repentance"

Definition of the word Repentance: Which means to feel remorse or regret for a action done, or to change one's feelings about something.

Matthews chapter 3 - 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.

Luke chapter 3 - 8n : Bring therefore fruits worthy of repentance and begin not to say with in yourselves , we have Abraham to our fathers: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Romans chapter 2 - 4 : Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long suffering: not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.

Romans chapter 11 - 29 : For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

2 Corinthians chapter 7 - 10 : For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of but sorrow of the world worketh death.

Hebrews chapter 6 -1 : Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ , let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.

Hebrews chapter 12 - 17 : For ye know how that afterwards, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected : for he found no place place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Repentance: which means to feel remorse or regret for an action done, or to change one feelings about something. Repentance is a big words that carries a big weight; which means that we are truly sorrowful or remorseful for some actions that we have done, and not proud of the outcome. We can only be forgiven of the sins committed ,if we repent of the sin and and don't commit the same act again.

When we truly repent of something; we don't repeat the same act, we leave it alone. The bible says that David was a man after Gods own heart and that was because ,when David prayed and asked god forgiveness; for what ever sin he committed; he truly repented of that particular sinm and never did it again, because he was a true repent-er. If we're going to commit the same sin ,over and over again, what is the purpose of repenting, we have to have a pure heart when we ask God for forgiveness and make sure we don' commit that same sin.

Creativeone yes this truly is a word we need to ponder over for as you say. To truly repent one has to mean it and turn right away from that sin which he/she is repenting from. If we are going to continue to commit the same sin over again and keep asking for forgiveness, then we have not truly repented. Great hub as always.

When we turn away from something the natural result is that we are turning toward something else. In this case from sin... toward God. Great word. Glad you wrote this!

Interesting that your two last words were repentance and restore because the two go together. When we repent truly as you say above. He will restore.

      CO,

Thanks for a word you don't hear much about these days. As a matter of fact, we hear so little about it, most don't even know what it truly means to repent. Thanks for mentioning it.
