"Faye's Daily Words of Encouragement" # 2 Todays Word Is: Love

The word for today is Love: The bible says to love thy neighbor as thy self.

Leviticus Chapter 19-18 : says: Thou shall not avenge, nor bear grudge against the children of the people, but Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself; I am the Lord.

1 John Chapter4- verse 7-8: Beloved, let us love one another : for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.

We are all here in this world by the grace of God. God has given us the power to love one another, here on this earth; but some of us don't even know the meaning of the word love. The word love is used frequently and loosely for ill gotten gain. When we love someone, we care about every a spect of that person as a human being. We always want the people that we genuinely love to be healthy, happy and prosperous. When we love someone from the heart we wish them all good in their lives. We live in a society of hate and envy. If I don't have anything, I don't want you to have anything attitude. What kind of love are we teaching our children? with this kind of attitude. We all have to have the love of God in our hearts or we want be able to give that Godly kind of love. If we give a selfless and unconditional kind of love, then we shall get the same in return. We know that by nature we're very selfish human beings, that don't want anyone to get a head of us in life but we have to give true love from the heart without envy or jealousy. We have to give love in order to recieve love. When we have the love of God in us, we automaticially give love without looking for anything in return.
