Find Him
He is Christ Alone the Lion and the Lamb
Find Him Here
We wake and launch into the day with a schedule captivating our minds. Rushing through the lists of places to go and things to do from the beginning, it appears to be a race until we slow down and breathe His Holy Spirit in.
The blasting alarm triggers the mechanism within, forcing our feet out of bed and onto the track of life. Stepping with anticipation, as many thoughts come to each race of a day running through our minds as we prep and plan to complete an event.
On this day, in which race are you entered? Are you ready to run to the end? Is your today, the birth of a child, or preparation for the main event? Does this day bring a surgery or medical appointment, the first day of school, or a funeral? Is today’s race a first or a last for you? Do we even know before we start? Are we prepared, and have we readied ourselves? Are you breathing?
We face the day alone. Thought processes. I know what is on the agenda, and I have it all planned out. “I set my strategy.” “I am in control of the events and or happenings surrounding my little circle of life.” How foolish to assume our importance. Use the “I” or “ME” that separates us from God. We are mere vessels for the enacting, even a tiny part of this designed plan in life.
How much easier would it be to understand that to be here is to cradle in the arms of God? Here on earth, we are to prepare for the future we seek in Him. How about we stop and find the peace that is grace in the stillness? Grace is His gift to us. I know this sounds like a far out idea to some. I also know it is easier to be mindful in this way when we are amid a storm or chaos, good or bad. All the more reason to take an inventory of our hearts in the stillness of the times in-between.
Go in prayer to Him, allowing His constant presence to envelop all that permits, trusting that He is at the moment — knowing He is our breath, and brings ultimate peace to calm the storm that may have moved in without warning.
Today may be a moment of enormous joy, and yet, even with this, we forget to breathe, taking in His power and glory.
Have you stopped and taken the first moment of breath in Him and then exhaled in His grace? When we stay in the stillness of Christ alone, we will find Him.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”
Trust In God's Grace
The smile that will fill your heart as He dwells within it can be your food for life. I pray you find Him here in this race of life.
It can be difficult not to lose hope, but it can be fantastic if you trust and believe in His promise of the cross. I know that if you do, all the moments in your races will be more natural, as you will have a running partner for life. All things in life are possible with and by His Grace. Even the tough stuff is doable with His guidance.
We must be careful this world can be overpowering. We lose sight of the only power that justifies. This truth does not mean that it won’t be a challenge for you to be a warrior for Him; as we all know, warriors come under attack. The closer you come to His purpose, the more He will reveal Himself to you. He will be the armor you need, and His grace will be sufficient. Faith is the powerful motor behind your works. His grace is the gasoline, and He is driving your strength! Try never to forget we must humble ourselves to our captain as He knows the ropes. You may grow weary, but never alone in the race.
His understanding is constant, and He is all-knowing. If we trust in Him, the end of our races can be everything! No scheme of man could ever end what He has for His children. So run your race. Remember, first to breathe Him in, and don’t forget to exhale with the grace of Him as best we can. Keep the Lion in your sight and the Lamb will lead you home.
