Follow the Master!

Updated on December 27, 2015

Every thing is sacred in creation!

Nothing is evil, nothing is low in creation!

We consider the sunlight as of greatest luminosity. But the scriptures affirm that “Brahman” or God is crores of times luminous than the Sun. But the sun itself illumines the entire globe. One single sun which is able to lighten up the entire globe in addition to giving beneficial heat to all the living beings and plants is really a miracle of sort. When there is no sun in the night time, we get the cooling light of the moon. God ensures that the creation should enjoy the nature’s bounties all the time. The breath that enables us to live is happening all through our life, whether we are awake or sleeping. The inner organs continue to perform their allotted duties even when we sleep. It is a greatest miracle that our heart beats continuously throughout our life time, taking some micro seconds of rest in between two beats!

Have we ever thought of the continuous functions of various limbs even during sleep? God, out of mercy and love towards creation enable them to survive even in harsh circumstances. He never differentiates between good and bad persons. Even an evil person or murderer gets hunger, thirst and sleep and he also maintains good health in spite of evil deeds. The rainfall happens everywhere without differentiating the habitats of good and evil persons. Why gods treat all as equals? It is simple. The creation is part of him or projection of his will. God himself is beyond the dualities of creation, though he is the prime base for the entire creation. When the illusory mind comes out of God, creation happens sustaining all dualities. As individuals, we hate evil persons. But god never hates anybody. In fact, we may hate the evil qualities but not the person. When you hate evil qualities, you will be cautious not to breed them in you. Bodies are inert. They are neither good nor evil. They are just instruments. It is the mind which plays all the pranks on individuals and makes him to believe that some are good and some or evil.

I can give one small example. Knife is just an instrument for cutting. Even the housewives use the knife to chop the vegetables. A surgeon uses the surgical knife for cutting open a person’s body. There is some injury and even blood oozes. Unconcerned, he wipes the blood and repair the damaged body parts inside. We praise the surgeon and pay him hefty fees for curing the patient. The same sharp knife is wielded by a killer who inflicts severe cut injuries on people and sometimes they may succumb to the attack of the killer. The Police will arrest the killer once they come to know about the crime. Hence there is no evil or good so far as the knife is concerned. It is how we use them, decides the fact.

When god asserts, ‘all are one, be alike to everyone’, it is not fallacy. It is the fundamental of all life here. We should not degrade anything in this world since all are creation of god and part of god. If you consider that stone and sand as the lowest one, you are absolutely wrong. The stone, though static to appearance contains the atoms which adhere together to form the stone. Our bodies also contain atoms in many things that go to form the fundamental cells etc. In creation, there are many kinds and types. For instance, in the minerals, god sleeps, in birds and beasts, he moves, in man, he thinks and plans. These functional differences are no reason to believe that one thing is inferior and the other one is superior. If you consider an individual as superior, why he is engaged in evil deeds? He also eats drinks, sleeps and mates like the animal. He possesses many animal qualities and in much more proportions. Then, how can we consider man as a noble and superior creature. It is decided based on how he lives, how he behaves, how he follow the righteous ways etc. If he hates everyone whom he meets, he is worse than an animal.

God has created human beings to mutually love and share. But man has become utterly selfish and greedy. He amazes wealth and properties which won’t accompany him after death. He kills the innocents in the name of religions. Then how can we treat him as the pinnacle of creation. The mind has two functions. It can elevate one or destroy. By following the promptings of intellect, mind will help man. By following the sensual promptings, it degrades him. Hence creation is neither good nor bad. It is how we utilize the creation decides!

“Follow the Master; Face the Devil, Fight upto the end and Finish the game – Sathya Saibaba.

The meaning is simple and straightforward. Follow the Master is following our inner Self. Face the devil means facing the evil squarely on its face to challenge it. Fight upto the end is engaging in fighting the evils till they are destroyed completely. Finish the game is indicating that Life is a game and we have to play it as per the rules and resting in god ultimately!

God is in everything!
