Get Set for A Feisty And Fiery Release of Cardinal Energy

The coming Full Moon will happen when the moon is at 6 degrees Libra, on the 27th of March 2013, following a new moon that occurred two weeks ago on the 11th of March, when it was near Venus. The seeds sown then are likely to have strongly featured issues around self image, intimacy and finance.

The energy of this full Moon consists of an opposition to a volatile conjunction of the following planets, the Sun, Venus Mars and Uranus in a tight stellium and all in Aries. When three or more planets gather in one sign the collection is referred to as a stellium. The Goddess Hera’s son, Ares, is well known as the God of war. It was with him in mind that the more well known astrological characteristics of sign Aries were ascribed, namely energetic action and force amongst others, as well as being very friendly, intolerant to injustice, defending the weak, impatient, frank and impulsive,.

The March 2013 full moon paints a very interesting picture. It will release incredibly cardinal energy that will initiate something that cannot be ignored, primarily because in addition to the stellium opposing the full Moon, it’s being encouraged by a Jupiter sextile. Jupiter is really mixing it up here because it is in a trine, at 60 degrees, to the full moon at the same time. Add to this mix to the stellium square to Pluto, the God of the underworld, who is currently at 11 degrees Capricorn and it all because very intriguing.

The atmospheric picture I get from this full moon reminds me of that other stellar performance by the late great Bette Davis as Margo Channing in the 1950 film ‘All About Even’, when she delivers that immortal wonderful line "…Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night." With this full moon were in for an interesting time especially as there is also a sextile to the stellium from Jupiter which adds an opportunity for amplification to all of this, so what whatever is going to happen it’s going to happen on a massive scale. As a result the decisions and changes made at this full moon will have reverberations that will last for long time.

Full Moon in Libra – God’s Finger in Action

Let’s look at the other planets in the frame. The other interesting aspects at play in this most interesting Libra full moon are the ‘yod’ aspects to Jupiter from Saturn and Pluto. Saturn and Pluto are in sextile to each other, i.e., they are 60 degrees apart, underpinning the base of the yod; both planets point ‘a finger of god’ of 150 degrees to Jupiter at the apex of the yod aspect.

The thing about the yod aspect, which is also known as the ‘finger of fate’ or the ‘finger of God’ is that it represents a turning point in time. Its energy can be unstable due to the in-conjunction (150°) aspects from two base planets. The in-conjunction introduces an adjusting element to the planet at the apex which forces a change in circumstances.

If you know your own astrological birth chart check to see if any of your natal planets will be triggered by the connection between Jupiter at 11° Gemini and Saturn at 10° Scorpio because you may be able to use this opportunity to extend your sphere of activity in the workplace or any projects you’re involved with but you will have to be flexible in your attitude to benefit from any expansion or be prepared to take a big risk and work towards fulfilling your ambition.

The focal point of this full moon is relationships, and a breath of fresh are into your life or relationships is the message of this cycle. If you’re in a relationship that has either run it course or is running out of steam you have one of two choices, resuscitate it or bid it goodbye. You need to release the well worn in order for new the new to emerge.

Be warned that with Pluto in the mix of this set up there is a likelihood that emotional power struggles may be at play. People may use manipulation, hidden agendas, guilt or jealousy in order to control us. We must try to be more flexible because to be either controlling and/or rigid will not bring us what we really want or need.

These full moon events have a sub-plot that serves to cushion some of the difficulties that may arise with a trine between the conjunction between Mercury and Neptune to Saturn pivoting on a sextile to Pluto, which suggests creative ideas that will transform your life materially.

Without a shadow of doubt this is really going to be a very significant moment in time with a great deal of pent up energy being finally released after two weeks of rumination form the beginning of this cycle, which started with an unprecedented stellium on the 11th of March. At that time we saw the Sun, the new Moon, Venus, Mercury (retrograde), Mars, Chiron and Neptune all gathered in Pisces sowing the seeds that are bearing their fruit that is manifesting as 7th house or Libran issues (relating and relationships) now, in a wide ranging (Jupiter), pro-active (Aries Stellium), transformative (Pluto) manner, forcing us to deal with difficult with change (yods) like it or not because the big boys on stage are the outer planets, and they are forcing big events to be triggered.

Towards the end of 2011 that Angela Merkel warned the European Union that "Nobody should take for granted another 50 years of peace and prosperity in Europe. They are not for granted. That's why I say: If the euro fails, Europe fails," said Mrs Merkel, and this was followed by a long round of applause from all political groups in attendance. She continued, "We have a historical obligation: To protect by all means Europe's unification process begun by our forefathers after centuries of hatred and blood spill. None of us can foresee what the consequences would be if we were to fail." That was before the current banking issue with Cyprus which is further complicated by Russian money banked in Cypriot offshore banks. Then there is Boris Berezovsky’s mysterious death, Berezovsky who was exiled to England following his claims that Putin was involved in the 2006 poisoning death of ex-KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko, also a Russian exile.

On a personal level it is time to health check your relationships. If have a planets in any of the cardinal signs, that is, Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn between the 5° to 12° I would prepare myself mentally to field whatever the planets may throw at me. For the mayor of London, Boris Johnson, that difficult time started on Sunday 24th March with a rather difficult BBC interview with Andrew Mair.
