GET OFF YOUR KNEES AND STAND FOR GOD!

Who am I? Why am I writing about this? What could I possibly say that hasn’t already been said? I actually asked myself those same questions before I started this. But, the more I asked myself, the more I realized, that I am probably a lot like you. I am an average, working, parent of two. Although, I have been married for over 25 years to the same man and father of my children, I do realize I am also a minority. I am someone who would like to believe that there is something inherently good about every person in this world. I believe that there is also evil in us all when we allow our weakness and fears to take over our faith and pride. I am someone who believes that our God is just, fair and spent his earthly life, talking about things that people didn’t understand and were to afraid to say they had an interest in learning out of fear of being treated with suspicion and doubt just as Jesus did everyday that he was here on earth. Jesus spent his earthly life being ridiculed, called a liar, was made to feel like a criminal for believing in his father’s word. Amazing isn’t it, when you think about it. He had only faith to carry him through. It never was the people that surrounded him who carried him through. It was faith in his father and his word! He knew his father would not let him down and he knew that his reward was greater in heaven than on this earth.

I am not someone who goes to church religiously every Sunday. I’ve also made some poor decisions as I grew up, (nothing criminal or illegal) but just mistakes. Those ones that made me realize that I would not repeat them and I learned from them. Surprised? I was too when I felt compelled to write this, if for nothing else than to just get it out of my head and heart and into the technology that is now ruling a lot of what we do in our daily lives. I am someone who does not run around saying “I’m a Christian”. Not that I haven’t accepted God, but, that I still feel that I have things to do to deserve all that he has done for me. I feel inadequate to say that I am ready to go to heaven and face him when I know that there is more that I can do to help make a difference here, today that may help someone else gain a little perspective about this crazy world we live in. We all have a job, a mission; a place in this world. Something we are supposed to do, an achievement that whether big or small, is something that we were made for, it is our purpose. We were not made to be evil, or predisposed to hurt other people. We were simply born with a freedom of choice. We chose to be the way we turned out in our daily decisions. Even those who communicate differently than we do, those that sit in silence, they have a purpose. They teach you and I something in every encounter. But those people, the ones that truly feel the need to lie, hurt, cheat, steal and take innocence, they chose to be that person. They chose to leave faith behind, to close their eyes to heaven and their ears to God. They inherently, chose to live a life of wrong and evil. In turn, what they do has spread into our world so greatly, that somedays it seems as if the darkness is taking over and the light is being slowly blown out.

I am proud to say I believe in God. But, I would not call me a Christian yet. I would say that I am still a work in progress. I have done all the things that I am suppose to. Accepted Jesus into my heart, asked his forgiveness and I try daily to only listen to what he has to say and to follow his lead. But, I am far from being a perfect Christian. Yet as I sit here and listen to praise music and read his word, I constantly find myself in awe. It’s frustrating to know all that he did for us, to save us and know that everyday we see evidence of how so many of the human race are just throwing it away by allowing politicians to remove him from our vocabulary, our schools, our country and slowly our life. Dramatic? No, I don’t think so. Realistic? Yes, this is America 2011-2012 and if we don't stand for something now, you may never get that chance in the future.

Here we are November 2011, and all I can say is WOW! I was born in the middle 60’s. No one worked on Sunday and the towns were shut down for family to go to church and to spend their day together. We left doors unlocked and windows open without fear of horrible things happening. You only used the phone when you had too and you rarely, if ever, answered it during dinner. If the phone would ring after 9pm, you knew something horrible had happened, because no one called when you were suppose to be in bed. You came home when you heard your name called or the light pole came on. You ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the kitchen table with the whole family. When your family, neighbor or a complete stranger needed something, you gave them a helping hand without a second thought. Because that’s what American’s do!

We had two television channels and on Sunday, It was Wild Kingdom and Walt Disney we looked forward to watching. We were never overwhelmed with negative ads from politicians, and so much hate and crime on the news. You also did not see so much violence, profanity, nudity and all the other setbacks that came with new technology. You would rarely see negative news on the TV. No politicians tried to become TV celebrities by going on late night comedy shows or daytime talk shows. When you heard America, you heard it with pride, you felt the power the word exuded and you were filled with a need to do something American to support our Country.

Today, that time seems like an eternity ago. Our world has changed so much. People like to call it evolving. A lot of what we have seen our setbacks. It seems that for every progression we make, there is something important lost in order to justify us evolving as a culture. Our world has been amplified and has gotten to the point that it is micro-managed by people who have no pride in being an American. I’m often baffled at our reasons for electing certain politicians. A lot of it seems to be more about popularity than the foundations that they are running on. But, I am certain there is a whole other story in just that sentence.

I don’t think the world needs to go back in time to get fixed. I believe that the world just needs to be “rebooted”. I love our technology and advancement, but not at the expense of losing who I am as an American. Everyday it seems like we lose a little more pride. We have less people working and small towns drying up. We have the “rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer”. Our average citizen is almost on poverty level and our poor citizens are becoming extinct. We have coldness and lack of empathy and compassion for our brothers and sisters and we allow our children to lose their identities and values with faceless cyber bullies and kids who were raised in an alley versus a home. We look the other way because society is to busy trying to make ends meet and don’t recognize virtual predators who are entering our own homes through a TV or computer.

They don’t see that their children are learning violence as fast as we learned nursery rhymes, to say our ABC’s and to count. Our children now are being raised by gaming and television shows that don’t teach them any values, they teach them how to shoot assault rifles, how to drive recklessly to get away from the police and how to kill people in the street. Their parents are absent because they have to provide and put food on the table, and the norm is almost set at being a single parent in America, because the family unit is slowly but surely dying out.

Our Government wants to pork belly spend and waste money on everything but America. They are not trying to fix our failing job market, our economy and they certainly are not worried about the average human being and how they will get to work, pay for medical expenses, raise their children on minimum wage or whether children had dinner that night, or went to bed hungry. What about our elderly? No one seems to want to change the things that are vital to sustain the human race.

I can only assume and this is my opinion that it is because what is happening to the average person does not directly impact the people we elect, there priorities are skewed and appear to be set more on where their campaign dollars are coming from than what the foundation of their election will be to better our Country and leave our children a country to be proud of.

WE have allowed God to be judged and placed in last place in our Country because the “Christians” are not standing together. Look at the people protesting around the nation for “ a new tea party title”. They are popping tents up, walking around and screaming how wronged they have been, then they are turning on each other, stealing, hurting each other, committing crime and acts of violence on each other and the citizens in those cities. The police have to enforce human decency because the people lost theirs. Worse, it’s headline news. Now these people are hiring attorneys to represent them and their cause. Or Attorneys are volunteering their services because they see a payday out of their cause.

All that passion, wasted on self-gratifying, stupidity that brings nothing to our society but yet another reason why America is a dying race. That is just the alleged “Americans, expressing their freedoms”. Now, add the fact that we allow other countries to enter our country illegally and take the benefits that were intended for United States Citizens. Those who learned the constitution and whom believe in America and what we stand for.

We are a warm fuzzy Country in that we allow them to enter and practice their religion with peace. We make “reasonable accommodations” for them in the work place. We allow them to build their own worship centers. We look the other way when they try to kills us for helping them and that it is ILLEGAL for us to practice our beliefs and religion in a lot of their countries. They will prosecute or kill us for something that we so graciously offer because of our God and his belief in peace. Because of Our Country Creed in allowing “Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion.”

Answer this question. Where is our right to pray and to believe in our God and our Country? Why is it that all American faiths are wrong and should be silenced and placed at the bottom of the list because it could be considered offensive? When has it ever been acceptable to spit in the face of America and it’s people just because another Country does not like the religion OUR Country was founded on? America is a people of many faiths and beliefs. But, in America, it is OUR right to maintain the core values of what this Country was built on. When will American people hire an Attorney or have an Attorney offer to represent us against the Government for imposing ridiculous and offensive restrictions on us and our right to pray in school, in public and to proudly say the Pledge of Allegiance? When did it become a crime to speak “the pledge of allegiance”? Really? When you read it does it make any more sense than when you hear these government officials saying that our children can’t be subjected to the very core values of what the country was built on? I can’t possibly dumb that down anymore than I already have. Because if you don’t see a problem with that, then our country really has hit the crapper and it really is going to end the world, very, very soon. I have a hard time believing that God doesn’t have his own little “football” with his own little “red button” that he probably flicks open and thinks, is today the day? Father, should I hit the reboot button and wipe out earth so we can start again? Because it has clearly gone to hell! Look at the chaos, the crime, the non-believers, the death, destruction and the powers on earth turning the world you built into their own personal play grounds that they run bully over. Maybe it is time to just hit the kill switch and start over. They obviously don’t care about us, and they certainly have no care, compassion or love for each other. With all this hate, all of their bad choices and decisions, I think the human race is beyond fixing and we need to start from scratch. Yes, I can totally see that conversation playing out in my head. I can hear it like they were sitting in front of me. Don’t you wonder why he hasn’t reset this country back to zero? Have you ever wondered what is keeping him from doing it? Even this very second, what is keeping him from starting over and getting rid of the wasteland that we are becoming because evil has taken over the lead in the battle of good versus evil?

Of all the faiths in our Country that share a similar vision of the word of God and it’s meaning. Those who preach from the same book, even if it’s based on a different chapter, it is still the book that he gave us to learn from and follow.

Why are “We the people” allowing our government to tear us down, piece by piece so their personal agendas are met? Don’t we have rights? Why can’t we be accommodated for our Religion and Beliefs? When did the American Citizen become a second rate citizen? Where is my private room to pray at work? Why is my right to say prayer in school being silenced as a “ quite moment to reflect”. Why are my rights and the right of my children and theirs to come, being stripped away to say the American Pledge of Allegiance? Whose Country is this anyway?

Who appoints them? WE DO! Who determines the longevity of their career? WE DO! Don’t we vote and elect these people? For a Country that was established on God and Freedom, we have certainly forgotten whose God and whose freedom the blood was shed for. Is the American now less valuable than those who don’t believe in our Country and our Creed? Why would the people of God, have to be punished and silenced for believing in what we were founded on?

Today, we see OUR COUNTRY being DIVIDED by people we placed in the position to do the most harm. We see evil overcoming good in the media everyday. Each day we watch a little more of our faith and right to praise our God, talk to our God and keep our core values in place stripped away. We are electing politicians who don’t believe in keeping America the Land of the Free. But who throw our parents, children, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends on the front lines to die or shed blood for the politicians right to take a political stance. What about the right to fight for what is right and just? I thought that is what war was really about. Winning the battle for good over evil. Not setting political agendas who take the pride our men and women in uniform have and set them up for failure, or worse, have them fighting battles for foreign countries who despise America and everything it stands for.

Remember the United States of America was founded on God and Faith! We were not just a powerful Country, but we were the most powerful and prideful Country. Note the word WERE!!!

As Americans, it is our job to make certain that everyone knows that we are not willing to live in a nation that is divided. It is OUR jobs as Americans to unite together and TAKE BACK WHAT BELONGS TO US! Starting with OUR RIGHTS! We need to send a POSITIVE message that WE WANT OUR NATION BACK AND WE ARE NOT WILLING TO SETTLE FOR SECOND. We need the government and other countries to know that WE ARE WILLING TO STAND UP AND FIGHT TO BE HEARD. If that means that we band together to create lines of hope in our streets, a chain of unity to keep our country safe and protected, then I guess we need to lock arms and start singing in the streets, because apparently, protesting is the only way to get the media to take you seriously anymore. I say if they want some news we give them so. It's simple, if you don't want to be an American, go back to where you came from. If you want to be an American, live with the American rules and under the American Constitution, because we don't change the rules because you can't learn to adapt. We did not ask you to come here, we just gave you free choice to do so. Don't let the door knob hit you on your way back home if you don't want to live in the Best Country in the World!

We are not going to look the other way or lay down when bullies try to beat us down, and we are not going to only show our pride when tragedy strikes. We are prideful and of good values. We are peaceful and want only to live in the world as it was intended to be. Loyal, peaceful, and free!

Laws were written, the Constitution was signed, and all of these things combined made us who we are today. Why would it ever be an option to overwrite something that has worked for so many years? What ever happened to, "if it isn't broke, don't fix it?" We are not trying to keep others from practicing their Religion. We are simply saying that in OUR COUNTRY, your Religion runs second to ours. As in their Countries, our religion is second to theirs. It is a matter of diplomacy and respect. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel. We are simply trying to keep it on the vehicle we bought it for. A difference in religion is not a bad thing. It is simply what it is, a difference. But, our children, and their children to come should not suffer because someone who does not want to live in America using the policies that America established for all of it’s citizens to abide by are kept as a priority. No more than we want to go to their Country and disrespect their policy and religious practices.

I think our first step is a petition to see how many people agree that there needs to be focus placed back on our Country Values and Visions. We need to agree that our Religious beliefs are first in our Country and just as it is in other cultures and countries. If you don’t want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, then sit it out with your mouth kept shut. If you don’t want to pray when we pray then put your headset on and listen to your own prayer, but don’t disrespect or interrupt ours.

If our children want to wear the Flag on their clothes to school, then they should proudly display it. If you are afraid our FLAG will insult someone, then I would say that they might need to reconsider why they want to live in America to start with. Because if their country is so superior to ours, why leave it? Jobs are intended for American Citizens and they should be considered first.

If you want to have a job, get it the legal way like everyone else and get your I-9 Documents in order and apply. If you can’t say the Pledge of Allegiance, you should probably reconsider why you came here to start with. If it is left up to the American Citizen then the option of using us or abusing us is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. You will not win that battle! Our Government needs to get back the Respect and Power that we had in place before we elected these so called politicians to run us into the ground. IF we don't have good candidates running, then we need to find our own and talk them into running. We don't have to take what they give us, we can pursue our own and promote them if necessary.

Lastly, if we need to fire these bad job performers, then as the American People who elected them under false pretenses, WE SHOULD FIRE THEM! If your employee is not being productive and is wasting your company payroll dollars, are you going to keep him or her on? NO.. You are not! So, lets monitor our payroll dollars that Government is spending and let them know when they are misappropriating our funds and fire them for their poor job performance.

This gives us a small place to start. But, at least it is a start. One last food for thought, if the violators can hire attorneys to represent them for their rights, then someone needs to represent the American people for OUR RIGHT to live in America where it was founded on God, Trust, Respect and Power. There is only one Alpha and Omega. Beginning and End. I say before we get to Omega. We take the Alpha we already have in place and tip the scale in our favor. What do you have to lose really?

It's our time now! Taking action is the only way to get results. If you are waiting on someone else to do the job for you, then you can sit home with everyone else and continue whining about how much this world is really starting to suck because of the people we elected to run it into the ground!
