Good Shepherd
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand. 30 I and [my] Father are one.
I. The Shepherd
A. He has Listening Sheep (Tempted to think you are the only one?) Romans 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to [the image of] Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
B. He is a Loving Savior I Cor. 8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
C. We should be Led Saints Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? . . . 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
II. The Savior John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my [sheep], and am known of mine.
A. He gave his Life for us
B. He gave his Death for us
C. Nothing can Separate us from Him. they shall never perish
III. The Sovereign (God the Father) Psalms 99:1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth [between] the cherubims; let the earth be moved. 2 The LORD [is] great in Zion; and he [is] high above all the people. 3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; [for] it [is] holy. 4 The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob. 5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; [for] he [is] holy.
A. He is Generous
1. He gave Jesus the Saints John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
