Paying it Forward

No this is not the self-proclaimed, Canadian, Hannibal Lector, Victoria Van Dyke's website. No, it has nothing to do with her artist achievement, are her new erotic art collection she calls, Guns, Sex and Jesus. With that said, I think the trio would make for a rather interesting debate for debate class, nonetheless, let's do get to the topic at hand.

  • Sex- we like, and generally everyone has it.
  • Guns- they're scary, intriguing and can master your holster with certain inalienable power.
  • Jesus- a man who many believed had sex with Mary Magdalene, and if he were alive today would probably carry a gun for protection, along with his 12 armed bodyguards called the "disciples."

When you think about it, another intriguing aspect surrounding these big three is that everybody thinks they are entitled to either own one, have it, or to worship them! Some pretty powerful stuff, when you think of it that way.

In the world of Google Trends, SEO search engines, page ranking and the Internet; guns, sex and Jesus are the twenty-first century's newest buzzwords. Even though they aren't really new to us. The many unique particulars of guns, sex and Jesus topics, have had men and women fighting for or against them, for the better part of 2000 years. Wars and be fought and won for their causes, and more certainly, many women and men have definitely benefited from the outcome, in one way or another.

Whether there truly is a direct correlation between the big three, one thing is for certain is there has been and will probably always be, something that keeps them bonded together as an inalienable right of humankind's somehow. No matter if that something happens to be something entirely new or completely different. This world- with it's ever changing avenues for great debates, cannot get enough of these three words lately. If they are not at the center of some news report, or the deal breaker of the week, it is almost a guarantee that somewhere or somehow, your life can be impacted by one of these big three topics. Have you ever given any thought to why this is?

If someone were to sit there and ponder thoughts on these subjects long enough, a direct relationship between the three can be seen everywhere we look, and through out all manners of society. The roots of the big three, carry implications that are deeply rooted into the psyche of the human mind. It's as if they go hand-in-hand. However, when you group the actual words together- something strange seems to be wrong. The odd perplexity when these words are seen together, has definitely left me quite puzzled, bewildered and sometimes humored at the prospect of these three words not being apart of the English vocabulary. To live without the words guns, sex, and Jesus, would be the weirdest thing of all for me.

When it comes to the subject of guns, sex or Jesus; there are so many direct correlations between the grouping, it would have taken me hours to back link all the coordinating out going links together, just for this article alone. Nevertheless, just think about this for a few more minutes. Whether it is in God we trust, Bill Clinton being impeached for having certain "juices" left on his cigars, or the war in against terrorist, which should be sponsored by the NRA; the underlying subject matter is all the same. Freedom. Under the plight of freedom, oh..., just look for yourselves, how perfectly the three then come together.

Guns, sex and Jesus are guaranteed conversational hazards. If you are a public politician, these three little words can represent your worse nightmare. For many religious zealots, the plague of these three innocent words can be seen in every society everywhere. However, whether one floats your boat over the another, we all need to politely remember; be kind, love one another, and respect your neighbors right to imagine.
