Holy Ghost Fire Experiences

Updated on July 26, 2012

Supernatural occurrences

The reality of the burning bush experience can happen anywhere, anytime and to whoever God chooses. Moses never asked to encounter a burning bush. It just happened to appear in front of him. Why God does it, I don’t know, but it has happened before, it happens and will continue to happen where his presence is to be found and where the Holy Spirit chooses to.

Spiritual things

To the modern man and woman, this might sound rather eerie especially when science has made large strides into the realm of civilization. Despite negative sentiments from atheists, pagans, agnostics and all that oppose a good thing, it is not good for a person to be buried six feet underground without relaying such a wonderful experience.

Agnostics will of course sneer down their noses at this while hurling insults about my being pea-brained for believing in the existence of an Almighty God, His son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and angels. Well, no apologies to make about this because one cannot control what God chooses to do to you.

The battle-line is drawn between light and darkness. The devil will have you believe there is no God so that you get used to fashioning your life around ignorance. Anything spiritual is branded repugnant intrusive and oppressive.

Holy Ghost Fire at work today

Well, here I was totally engrossed in singing praise to God Almighty caring little about my environment. My heart was keen for higher things. As I continued in praise, I suddenly felt a tugging in my hair as if it had caught fire. The fire seemed to creep downwards as it covered my head, neck, and shoulders until my whole body was totally engulfed in flames I could feel the skin on my whole body tingling under the licking flames whose core seemed to be my inner parts.

What seemed rather strange was that there was no scorched flesh or smoke to accompany this fire. After what seemed like an eternity, the fire burnt out until it was all calm again. I later thought, if only the burning bush in the book of Exodus could speak, these are the very words it would have relayed to us. Mark my words, this is a real life experience. Whoever said spiritual things cannot be felt should review their stand.

Though spiritual, at times God allows you to feel what he is doing. Let this testimony go to all agnostics out there that there is Holy Ghost fire even today, which comes from God.

The Moses Experience of the Burning Bush

When reaching out to find out more about this fire, I was reminded of the burning bush that Moses encountered by the road side in the following scriptures in the book of Exodus 3: 2-4 which says “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, “Here am I”.

Scripture tells us here that when Moses saw the bush, it was burning with fire but the bush was not consumed. This stirred his curiosity, leading him to scrutinize the bush more carefully. This happens to be the only case relayed in the bible of this supernatural occurrence.

Other instances providing evidence of this fire are narrated in Acts 2:1-4 as follows “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”.

This indicates that Holy Ghost fire not only purifies, but it also symbolizes unction or anointing that empowers us to serve him better. I have often experienced and witnessed God’s wonderful power at work when his anointed servant sends a large crowd worshippers hurtling to the ground at a mere wave of his hand as if they were physically pushed down. God is extremely powerful and much more so beyond our human imagination.

At times, God sends this fire down upon mankind to cleanse sin in our lives. The same fire from above can be quite destructive to evil beings and forces as was occasioned in Sodom and Gomorrah. Hell is also fiery from a scriptural perspective.

This article was written to provide evidence that God is real. He still visits those who seek him in form of fire. What He says in his word is true. His son Jesus is very much alive and with us today. Although we killed him on Good Friday, he was up and about by Easter Monday. He can pay you a visit anytime and that he is soon coming back. Therefore, be of good cheer for he loves you. Let those who have ears hear. Avoid vain arguments. As our fellow author Highvoltagewriter says “Please don’t kill the messenger”. The message has a nasty habit of living on and on and on.
