Haters, Why You Should Love Them

We are often hurt and made upset when we realize that someone doesn't like us. Whether it be in the office, home, or church, most of us still struggle with the thought of someone not liking us.

How could they not see how wonderful a person you are? Was it something you said or did? Did they not see that you tried your best to get along with them? Don't they know that I'm a Christian too?

Quite frankly, it doesn't matter! Every scenario in our lives has been created, developed to bring out of you what the Master has intended! It is necessary to the completion of your journey and mission in this life!

You should be thankful and at peace with yourself knowing that you are counted among the blessed! Those who can be greatly used by God!

Ahasuerus sends out an edict for beautiful, young virgins to be presented to him so he could choose a new queen.  Esther 2:19

So Samuel poured oil on David's head to anoint him king, as he had done before to Saul.         1 Samuel 16 -- David Annointed King by Samuel

In The Company of Greatness!

Esther was not as beautiful or well-known as her predessor Queen Vashti. Queen Vashti was known for her astonishing beauty. When Esther's uncle Mordecai requested that she apply to become the next queen, Esther could not believe his absurd request. Nor did she inately believe that the mission could be accomplished!

Esther had her share of haters! After all, a floor full of woman vying to become Queen! The claws were out but God gave her favour with the Head Enuch who prepared the way to Esther's success.

David was a shepard boy when Samuel was instructed by God to go down to Jesse's house to annoint a new king for Israel. When Elijah's mission was revealed to Jesse, David was never considered. He was left out in the field tending his sheep. It was not until Samuel had gone done the row of handsome and tall brothers of David that he was even thought about.

David's hater was Saul, his predecessor to the throne! Saul initially loved David and was later stirred to jealousy against him but God had a Jonathan in the midst of this scenario. Jonathan loved David and protected him from his father's plots against David!

Joseph and His Brothers

Judah said, "Do not kill your brother; if we but regain the undivided love of our father, we have attained our object. Let us therefore cast him into a pit till a caravan passes, and then sell him as a slave."  Judah's advice was taken, and Joseph, stripped of his garments, was cast into a pit.

The brothers then left the pit, but before returning home they slaughtered a lamb, and besmeared Joseph's upper garment with its blood, which can not be distinguished from that of man. They then said to their father, "While we were engaged in our occupations, there came a wolf and tore Joseph, who had remained with the stores; and, on seeking him afterward, we found this upper garment, which we recognized as his."

Genesis 37:12

Hater's Have Their Purpose Too!

Hater's are as necessary to your spiritual growth as your ability to honor God in your earthly life!  You see, hater's can erupt out of your own household.  Oh, yes they can.  Ask Joseph.  He would sit and converse with his father Jacob and brothers and would eventually end up sharing with them revelations given to him by the Spirit of God.

You would initially think that they would have been happy just to be his brother but it provoked a spirit of jealousy in them.  So, much so until, one day that left poor Joseph in a ditch!  They were tired of his dreams and envious of the fact that he was their father's favorite.  Their hatred for Joseph led to the heartbreak of his father when they came back and told Jacob that Joseph was dead!

This event set off a chain of events that led Joseph from the pit, to the prison, and to the palace where he reign second in command and ended up saving his family from famine!

Psalms 23:5

God prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies, reveals the plan of God for my success, and His ability to move me to Kingdom work.  This is a place that only a God with infinite wisdom could have designed.

Think about it, after you've been through hell and high waters, God furnishes a table.  He doesn't do it in secret!  He sets it full and with abundance, right in front of your enemies!  And guess what?  You don't even have to worry about your enemies, haters trying to take from it!

They are first-hand witnesses of who God is in your life!  They now understand that no weapon formed against you shall prosper! and EVERY tongue that riseth up against you, you SHALL condemn.

But it doesn't stop there.  God now gives us the opportunity to show grace and mercy to our enemies.  We have more than enough and can share with them in peace.  Haboring no ill-fated wishes or desires against them for we serve a mighty God who uses haters to bring us into abundance!

Live well, my friends and live blessed!
