Hidden Treasures of Truth

Updated on August 18, 2014

Faith and Knowledge

All that have faith know that The Bible is the word of God "For without faith it is impossible to please God". We should all also know that it is full of the hidden treasures of truth that will save our souls.

The stories of the Old Testament were written for examples to us, full of the prophesies that we have been watching unfold as well as those shortly to come, and of course the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus were all foretold as well, and we had better know His teachings, for they are the words of The Father of all.

Gospel

In the 4 Gospels of the New Testament we see The life and life's work of our Lord and Savior unfold as he taught and healed the people, We are given 4 different views, thus allowing us to see Jesus doing the will of our father from different perspectives and at the same time they confirm one another's confidence, understanding and validity. While teaching the people sometimes in parables, He taught the apostles the meaning of these parables so that we could see the truth plainly only in following their lives and what they did. My question to all is simply this. What did the Apostles do. Does anyone really care?

The Keys Of The Kingdom

Mathew 16: 18-19, is where we read that Jesus gives unto Peter the keys of the kingdom of Heaven. Jesus also tells him that "whatsoever he binds on earth shall be bound in heaven". These are not quotes but only written in part to show a point. In order to gain the full understanding of any part of God's Holy Word one must not only read but study it, praying always for guidance and direction. This is the perfect example of a parable that can only be understood or comprehended by following the Apostles deeds.

Waiting and Receiving

"The Acts of The Apostles" is the book that tells what the apostles did from the time immediately following the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ. They waited patiently until the day of Pentecost was fully come as it was prophesied, and then they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. I wonder how much patience they had to learn. If their learning experience was anything like some of ours have been, We can only imagine the praying that went on. Once they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, that's when Peter and they all I'm sure just broke loose with praise, glorifying God almighty, and his son Jesus Christ.

The Keys Loosed On Earth And In Heaven

The first thing the apostles did after waiting and after receiving the promise of the Father, was that Peter stood with the eleven and showed the multitude, teaching from the prophets that this was the promise and that Jesus is the Christ and that they crucified him. When they realized what they had done they were pricked in there hearts and they asked the Apostles what shall we do. That is when Peter got to use the keys of the kingdom of Heaven given to him by Jesus! "Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost" Acts 2: 38. This is bound on earth and in heaven, there is no argument worthy to be heard to the contrary. Jesus Christ is the name, " Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved" Acts 4: 12.

Confirmation Unquestionable

That day alone about 3000 souls were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as is written of in Acts 2: 41, and many others were shown to be baptized in his name in the book of Acts. Acts 8: 38 and 10: 48, and if we look at Acts 19: 1-7 we see that even those baptized unto John's baptism of repentance were baptized again in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

More than 90% of all believers today have been baptized unto John's baptism of repentance or less, some believing that faith alone saves. Do not be deceived, how can you put on Christ if you are not baptized into Christ, and how can you be baptized into Christ if you are not baptized in his name. "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" Colossi ans 2: 9, and remember "One Lord, One Faith, One baptism" Ephesians 4: 5.

My Plea

There are many hidden treasures of truth in the word of God. This is one of several that he has blessed me with eyes to see. This is to all who seek the Lord's truth with all you're heart, but have been led astray by the many false prophets in the world today, and to all the parts of the body of Christ that have cut themselves off. He calls today as a wake up call, it is time to come together that the whole body can stand and rejoice as one, and there is only one way, that’s to join forces in a new beginning. Please search this out, see for yourselves and then don't hesitate, "God is not willing that any should perish" as it says in 2Peter 3: 9. Don't wait too long or settle for less than the one true doctrine set down by the Apostles as it was given to them by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Glory, Honour and Praise

To God be the glory for all of his wonderful works. To praise and worship his Holy Name with every ounce of my being before the great congregation, and to share these treasures of truth with you all, is the least that I can do. Grace be with you all, Amen.

Theodore,
