How Do You Teach Yourself to Be More Psychic?

Updated on April 26, 2010

Honestly their is not away to be more Psychic. I am a 16 year old with the power that most people don't have and wish they did. Many people ask me how they can become one too. Please take time to read my other hub about Psychic Children. I came to earth with this gift. Why me? I do not know. I think that anyone who does have certain powers is to do good, like help police and certain families that have a hard time getting over a lost one. I have provided closure for many families and people. To see how much relieve it gives one family. I would do it in a heartbeat again. People are afraid of spirits, I don't have that much of a liking to. Every time I look of into space and they are like "oh my god, is someone standing behind me?" They quickly run away. I can't stand someone who does that. All it shows is that they are lucky enough to be in presence of a unnatural world. I am not sure if there are people who get there gift at the beginning of life or middle or even end. I don't know. Here are somethings that will help you.

  • Always listen to the first answer that pops in your head. (your conciencse)
  • If you have a bad gut feeling don't do or go anywhere or do what you were about to do.

God has ways of showing people signs/ warnings. This about the only way I can help you out with your question. Everyone has those feelings not to do anything. When a question comes your way, you always have the answer in your head but then rethink it and change your mind. Go with the first answer. Listen to your gut. It might save your life one day and keep you out of harm. Sorry if I wasn't much of a help but please contact me for any questions or comments. I'm free to talk about it.

Thanks,

Ashley

Hi Ashley! You wrote a very good, very heart-felt article. I totally understand how you feel. I felt the sadness in your words, but I also felt the courage. It is difficult to be different isn't it? But Ashley, you truly are lucky. You can write and talk about your gift without being judged or thought of as crazy. When I was your age, I had to keep all my gifts secret. We did not speak of them in my family (not allowed to) and I dare not mention them to my friends. I have been called "weird", but my sister calls me special! I don't know about that. I know I have never been what is considered normal. Ashley, I am going to give you a different opinion than BlondeMorticia. I don't believe the way she does about "Fallen Angels". I have had people (who have already crossed over) come to me and ask for help. They usually have a message for a loved one or once it was for a friend. It is difficult to judge what a person's reaction will be when you tell them about it. Sometimes people are very glad to hear from a loved one. Sometimes they get scared. I was once afraid myself, Ashley, but not any more. With age comes wisdom and when you are born with "gifts" you tend to grow up faster in my opinion. I think you are very special. But there is one more thing I want to say. People who are not born with gifts, for better or worse, sometimes want them. People can become more psychic. Sometimes they are unaware of the gifts they have. You acknowledged, accepted, and developed your gift at a young age. I believe psychic ability can be nurtured and developed with practice. Actually, my next article is going to be about developing psychic ability. :) Hang in there, Ashley, and just continue to be you. The people who love you will support you no matter what and the people who don't love you don't matter.

      Thanks for a good article,

      Dr. Marie

Hi Ashley, I'm 52 and psychic also. I have always been this way, but I don't work with the police or FBI, I just get impressions, and when people are with me, I might start answering what they're thinking of asking me, ha ha ha, which does freak people out, what can I say, but I came by this naturally, so I can't really help who I am, or what natural gifts I have. I read Tarot cards for friends, have been called a Natural Witch, do ghost busting if someone is having problems with Fallen Angels impersonating deceased people in their house, as Fallen Angels are here to haunt us, tempt us, and in my experience, and my two sons, who are 22 & 18 and still see them, as well as my 8 yr. old nephew, and my deceased Grandma who was 88 and still seeing Fallen Angels, it tends to run in families, in my case on my Mom's side of the Family. My Grandma said she was the only one who could get the Ouija Board to work, and the answers came true, so she threw it out. Ha ha ha. According to the Holy Bible, King James Version, the dead know nothing, they don't hate, love, and certainly don't haunt us. But after the Battle in Heaven between Lucifer, Jesus and God, he and 1/3 of all of the Legions (10,000 Angels in each Legion), they were cast down here until the End of Time. And Lucifer, or The Devil as he is also called, "knows his time is short," so they do mischief down here, haunting, looking us in the eye, for those of us who can see them, and it is actually listed below, "speaking in tongues," as the second Gift from God, "Discerner of Spirits," it is called, for people like you, Ashley, me, my Grandma, my sons and my nephew, and other friends of mine I've met over the years, as people like us find each other, and can relate to our Gift from God, when we are at the answer seeking times in our life, as it is one of those gifts that is not always a welcome one, but in my family, it is not a gift that leaves us until we die, than we are no longer around to use it, this Gift from God. So you and I, are "Discerner of Spirits," Ashley, and you are right, not everyone has this gift, as not everyone can handle what we have to live with on a daily basis, and it is real, not some Hollywood movie version, hyped up, just a daily thing, for our lives, which sets us apart, from others who talk themselves out of their natural gifts, as not everyone, like I said will do good with it, or can mentally handle such a Gift From God.

Take care and God bless you always Ashley.
