"I Suffer Not A Woman"

Updated on October 19, 2014

Restoring the Ministry of women with the new ministry of women and men, Acts 2:17-18

Here we go again. Hello Ladies its your turn to speak out. Satan's deceptions will no longer work against you. The Holy Spirit is raising you up to help to finish the Work of Christ - "And this Gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come," Matthew 24:14,21-22!

In this Hub we will be going through this very important book for you. The title is, "I Suffer Not a Woman," by Richard Clark Kroeger and Catherine Clark Kroeger. This is about the Rethinking 1 Timothy 2:11-15 in light of Ancient evidence revealed that these verses do not prohibit all Christian woman from preaching or teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are problems with the traditional interpretations by men that show that these verses had nothing to do with any prohibition against the Christian ministry of women but about the pagan attempt by men to discourage it through pagan women who were trying to infiltrate God's Church as tares, Matthew 13:25-40.

It does however have to do with the false twisting of Scriptures (the first nine chapters of Genesis) by certain Jewish proselytes that were teaching to the pagan women at the Temples of Artemus in Greece. These women tried to infiltrate the early Church of God with their false doctrines of men to try and upset that congregation with false ideas. The Apostle Paul's teaching were in response to this attempt by these hateful Jewish men to disrupt the growth of the churches in Greece. As you will see nowhere does Paul condemn or prohibit Christian women from doing the work of God as long as they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit..

But just as there were wicked men in the early days of the Church there would also be men that would take these verses out of context and use them to hinder women from preaching the Gospel today, 2 Peter 2:1-3! The Real Christian scholarship done on these verses by Richard and Cathy Kroeger and others reveals the sinister plot of the devil to continue to put the ministry of women down. This has happened more so at this time in history just before Christ will come back and intervene and save human kind from utter destruction. Now in these last days it is "Time" for both women and men to draw together and finish Christ's witness as never before, 2 Peter 3:1-18.

To understand what is revealed in this book, "I SUFFER NOT A WOMAN," will take people of faith, love and hope to restore this important part of Christ's church to move ahead despite of these hard times now upon us. The Scriptures must be re-examined to find the evidence that has been misapplied to keep women from fulfilling their calling today. I have found this book to be filled with tremendous insight and hard archaeological work in tracking down the truth and putting erroneous assumptions in there place.

Lets see where men have gotten their false ideas from? The interpretation of 1 Timothy 2:12-("And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.") is critical to the manner in which difficulties in scripture are dealt with. The Bible is an ancient and often perplexing book written by many different authors over many centuries that traditional Christians believe is the inspired Word of God as our infallible rule of faith and practice. Those of us that believe the Bible contains a fundamentally consistant and coherent message must deal with the apparent discrepancies between these passages and the rest of Scripture. There are two kinds of problems: theological and practical. The theological and practical applications should be in perfect harmony with the rest of the Bible.

Richard and Cathy write at the beginning of the first chapter of their book: "If we check out the Bible's basic message you will not find it a book of oppression for women or anyone else. It has been repeatedly proven to be an instrument of liberation for God's people. It records the deliverance of the people of Israel from slavery and it relates how Israel was delivered again and again from the hand of her oppressors, and it insists upon humane treatment for disavantage persons. It goes on to tell of our deliverence from the manifold bondage of sin. It offers hope for the poor, comfort for the afflicted, identity for the disavantaged, and justice for the dispossessed. The stated purpose is "to set the prisoners free," Isaiah 58:6, John 8:32

The most powerful exaltation of the Word of God, Psalm 119, contains within it a corollary message of liberation. The Psalmist, King David, describes again and again the oppression which he endures and states his confidence that he will be delivered by the means of the Scriptures. Those that dwell upon God's Word are encouraged to find liberation in it: "Plead my cause and set me free, quicken me according to thy word," Psalm 119:154. "Behold my affliction, and deliver me, for I do not forget thy law," verse 153. "I have done justice and righteousness, thou wilt not leave me to my oppressors," verse 121. "Be surety for thy servant for good, let not the proud oppress me," verse 122. "Set me free from the oppressions of man, and I will observe thy precepts," verse 134.

And though the Psalm is the longest one, the reader will be rewarded by studying it, especially verses 22, 44-46, 49-51, 86, 92-95, 117. The Psalmist declares that the Commandments of God vindicate themselves, verse 151, that they are righteous and faithful, verse 138, and that they bring deliverance to the oppressed, verses 39-42. It is not our God of justice and love, and did not Jesus say that He came to preach liberty to those who were oppressed?

So the two fold message of liberation and commitment to Scripture speaks directly to the dilemma that faces us in 1 Timothy 2:12. We are caught between the apparent contradictions with regard to women and our belief that the Bible is truly God's message to us. Often it seems that we must abandon either our view of the Bible as our only infallible rule of faith and practice, or else we must deny the full equality of all persons before God.

The rules of faith and practice must be applied whenever the Word of God is challenged. Richard writes, when he and Cathy were students at Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship a one-month lay training institute to prepare Christian college students to deal with the attacks upon the Christian faith which was our daily lot in the secular class room their instructor Corneleuis Van Til of Westminister Theological Seminary. He taught that the Bible if it is truly the Word of God it will hold up to intense scutiny, that we can dissect it, shake it in a test tube, grind it fine, analyze it carefully. If we find apparent contradictions this is an invitation, not to discard the Bible, but to study further.

We need to come to the Bible with just such a faith when we deal with the hard issues, not only those of doctrine but also those of Christian behavior. If we can develope a hermeneutic of faith which will apply to the better understanding of gender roles in the economy of God, the same methodology may well serve us in circumstances which the church of Jesus Christ cannot now fully envision. The Twenty-first century will surely bring theological debates of a nature different from any we have known, but the same Lord can guide us into all truth through the Word of God which shall not pass away.

To learn about the nature of the false teachings we can turn to the Pastorals themselves and find out who was doing what. Paul left Timothy in Ephesus to admonish those individuals that were teaching a different doctrine and were teaching members to listen to myths and endless geneologies. which were producing disputations rather then building up the household of God in faith. Paul complained that although these people were trying to be teachers of the law, they did not understand what they were saying in a confident way, 1Timothy 1:6-7. They just did not know that the law was directed to the unrighteous, and the lawless, unholy, sacrilegious, murderers, slayer of men, liars, and those that break oaths and whose lifestyles was opposed to sound doctrine, 1Timothy 1:8-10.

We also know that these individuals had an interest in Jewish law even though their knowledge was distorted. At least one of them was a woman who was teaching a different doctrine and that the apostle Paul was using, 1 Timothy 2:12, to silence her from teaching heresies about Adam and Eve. She taught that Eve came first before Adam. And she was not the only one who had to be stopped. In 1 Timothy 1:19-20, Paul speaks of those that have wandered from the faith and a good conscience. This is our first indication that these false teaching were an attack on the very nature of God. This was blaspheme against the God of the Bible. The mention of the Devil by Paul raises the possibility that these false teachers looked upon Satan in a positive light. So this shows us that we do not have to look far into the ancient world for a religious system which holds contempt for the God of Hebrew Scriptures and glorifies Satan.

This system was Gnosticism which was a hand me down from the Jewish Kabbalah and Neo-Platonic teachings which have caused a great distortion to the Jewish and Christian teachings. It is also the hall mark and underlining for the New World Order, Iluminati, and Luciferian, Roscrician doctrines being used to bring about the destruction of the Christian churches today. It had its place in history starting right here in Ephesus by trying to distort the ministry of women in Jesus Christ's priesthood of all believers, 1 Peter 2:4-10. There are many types of Gnostic teachings and no two writings from them agree on just one doctrine but many twist and turns are used to confuse anyone who does not look into them with an spiritual magnifying glass. It is easy to see how some who do not look deeply into these verses fall prey to their deceptive Gnostic delusions and think that these verses bar all women, for all time, from preaching and teaching the Word of God.

According to Gnostic thought all matter is evil. The Creator, the God of the Hebrew Bible, was evil because he had made the material world. The Serpent according to the Gnostics is a being, beneficent in helping Adam and Eve to shake off any deception perpetrated on them by the Creator. Eve became the mediator who brought true knowledge to the human race. Gnosticism has been called the religion of rebellion because its mythology constitutes an "upside-downing" of the Bible as we know it. There are two main types of Gnosticism which can be either dualistic or trinitarian. Each of these two will keep their attitude of rebellion going against the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is no wonder that there is such confusion and mis-information against the God Family. Gnosticism is trully where much of the confusion comes from as to the natures of Yahovah the Father, Yeshua the Son (Jesus Christ) and Ruach HaKadosh - Mother or Holy Spirit are in the Godhead or the Family of God, Ephesians 2:14-23.

These false teachings can be found in the trinitarian teachings of Mithra which replace the Kingdom of God found in the nation of Israel with a replacement theology found in false Christianities churches. That say God has replaced the Kingdom of Israel with the church. These churches also replace Jesus Christ with another Christ (Mithra in 1st Day Churches or with Simon Magus' in dualistic teachings in many 7th Day churches), 2 Corinthians 11:1-4;10:1-6.

The mention of fruitless discussions, drivel, and nonsense which oppose God is interesting because Gnostic writtings do indeed contain material that appears pure nonesense, some times there are long strings of repetitious nonsense syllables, sometimes there are riddles and paradoxes; and yet they conveyed significance to the inane. Many early Christians who tried to refute Gnostic theology found this use of this nonesense particularly exasperating. Certainly nonesense is one of the hallmarks of Gnosticism. Other similarities between Gnostics and the false teachings refered to in the teachings of Paul include denial of the resurrection, genealogies, quarrels over words, wracking of the mind, and speculation (1 Timothy 1:3-6;6:4,20; 2 Timothy14,16,18,28; Titus 3:9).

We will not cover all the material in the writtings of Paul in dealing with false doctrines but we can turn to 1 Timothy 5:11-15 where attention focuses on older widows and younger widows. The problem was with the younger widows who where going astray from Christ. They were going from house to house (in these Days the Church of God was composed of many House Churches) spreading nonesense or Gnostic heresies. which influenced the younger women who opened their homes to these teachings and according to 2 Timothy 3:6-7 and became propagators of these new teachings, 1 Timothy 5:13. These widows may actually had become followers and admirers of Satan for there were those "who gave heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons" as many have also done today because they could no longer stand the patriarchal teachings of so called Christian churches today and have fled to New Age myths and goddess worship of Eve.

However, men can become just as deceived by these teachings as women can. In our research we have found men that would rather listen to the teachings of Semi-Arians dualistic men than Jesus Christ. This happened during the time of the Nicene Controversy in the fourth century. Some believed the teachings of Dr. Arius' disciples that the Holy Spirit was not a person. This idea has been carried down through the Middle Ages and mixed with Gnostic teachings of Simon Magus to keep women out of the ministry in this age in both 1st Day & 7th Day Churches. In Revelation 2:6 & 15, Jesus Christ warns these 7th Day churches against following the doctrine of the Nicoliatans which are Gnostic teachings that were in the early churches and still exist today in 7th Day churches.

So you can see Satan never sleeps and is always trying to lead both men and women astray with his twisted teachings of many different varieties. It is possible to deceive even the elect if this were possible,Matthew 24:24. As has been said already it was Jewish Gnostics or Kabbalist who were bringing these false Gnostic teachings into Greece to disrupt the Churches of God. These very same teachings are the ones that could destroy all of us by the New World Order's socialistic Zionism leadership today. Only about 20% of the Jews in Israel today are Orthodox and follow the Bible and keep God's Sabbath and Holy Days mentioned in Leviticus 23.

It is interesting to note that even though women seem connected to these false teachings it is the men who are the false teachers, teaching the women Jewish fables in the Temple of Artemis or Diana in Ephesus and sending them to the Church of God, 2 Timothy 3:2-9;1Timothy 5:24-25, Titus 1: 7-13, 2 Peter 2:1-3.

I hope this doesn't mean that men are still supposed to keep misleading women as the Lord said would happen in Genesis 3:15-16. Women today have been bought with a price by Christ's blood. Women need to look more to Christ in these last days if they hope to survive the twisted teachings of unconverted men. God's word to women is to put Christ first and learn to serve Him and receive the reward of eternal life, Matthew 6:33, John 14:15-21, Revelation 22:12. You need a copy of their book "I Suffer Not A Woman," by Catherine and Richard Kroeger. Check my link to Christians for Biblical Equality at Http:// and ask fr a copy. It is reasonably priced.

Just the same the problem of stories or myths did not lie in the gender of the tellers. The charge that the false teachings involved myths is repeated several times in these passages of Timothy and Titus. In 2 Timothy 4:4 there is a complaint about those who turn away from hearing the truth and go astray after myths. These are not just simply stories but have a religious content which deceive hearers away from the truth. In Titus 1:14 it states that Christians should not give heed to Jewish myths and commandments from those that have rejected the truth. We have seen in 1 Timothy that it begins with a command from Paul to stop those who have taught another doctrine and give to much heed to myths which engendered argumentation rather then edification. Such people supposedly knew the Jewish Law, but in this they erred, 1 Timothy 1:3-7.

These Jewish myths cannot be traditional bibllical stories because the writer contents that they are wrong and must be objected against by using Scripture. Remember the norm should be the the Word of God, meaning what we call the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament, as the New Testament was not yet written. The traditional stories is not what Paul had in mind. We then are to look for another form of Jewish myth which might draw people away from the truths of the Bible. We would more likely look to the Jewish Gnosticism or the Kabbalah since it was the Jews that hated the new Christian values being taught by Paul to the Gentiles..

Many of these distorted stories included perversions of the Adam and Eve history. These were circulating in the first century as recent scholarship suggest that they opposed traditional biblical values. Philo, who died in C.E. 45, utilized the very theme which drew rebuttal by Paul in namely mythologizing Eve as being created first and bringing knowledge and meaningful life to Adam. Which is contrary to the truth of Scripture in Genesis 2:20-25. There is within these texts of Timothy and Titus abundant evidence that the Gnostic strands of theology were in their formatve stage.and those that were involved with these false doctrines included both men and women. That the women from the Temple of Dianah or Artemis were very much involved in telling stories which contradicted Scriptures with the help of Jewish Gnostic men.

The Gnostic religion teemed with celestial beings who ranged themselves in ranks, there were as many as 365 in number. in many Gnostic systems the God of the Old testament, creator of the world, is not the highest deity. He is the craftsman who made universe. He is the creator and maker of the entire world and of the things in it. The Gnostics look on him as being the maker of all evil even the reproduction of children is consider evil. We will get into this a liitle further into Richard and Cathy's book "I Suffer Not A Woman."

It is shocking for today's conservative Christians to discover an ancient relgion which regulated Yeshua, Jesus Christ, to an intermediate relationship. However, the apostle Paul allowed no such latitude of belief. For Paul there is but one God and he is the Most High. It is here that Paul mounts his attack on the heart of the opposition. It was Paul's point to affirm the one God and the Mediator who had "given himself as a ransom for many as a testimony at the right time in history. Paul's witness proved that there is only one God Family Elohim, with the Father and one Mediator Jesus Christ and one Mother Spirit Ruach HaKadosh who conceived and gave birth to Jesus through Mary.

Most Gnostics of which there are many varieties have their own explanation of the created world which features a supreme being far higher than the God of the Hebrew Bible. Interestingly he is sometimes identified as Authentia. Sometimes the supreme being figure is a female rather then a male. There are in fact, a number of spiritual beings, both male and female, usually called "powers." Maybe this is where some will try to teach that the power of the Father is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit has her own power that she shares with the Father, Zechariah 4:6. However in most versions, each pair procreates other lower powers.

Ialdabaoth, as the God of Genesis Chapters 1-3 is sometimes called one of the lower powers. He creates the physical world, and that is a grevious mistake according to the Gnostic view. According to Gnostics the material universe is evil, manufactured by a third rate god, Here the God of the Old Testament comes off badly both for his creation of the world composed of matter and for his view that he is a supreme sovereign being. "Ialdbaoth in his arrogance boast that he is the one that made all things, that were made by him and said,"I am the Father and God, and there is no one above me ( Modalism a god that is three)." However , his mother heard him and shouted out against him: 'Do not lie Ialdabaoth." You can see the twist that Satan has formed here to take the 'power away from the true God and place it on someone else like a mother Eve or Satan the Devil, who is trying to make Satan the power over Eve.

When Adam and Eve were placed in the garden of Eden, they believe that Ialdabaoth is the supreme deity. Here Satan, another of the powers, appears as a great benefactor. Adam and Eve caught in this deception perpetrated by Ialdabaoth or Jesus Christ as Satan tries to claim in Genesis 3:1-4. The problem her is lack of knowledge, and yet they have been forbiden to eat of the tree of knowledge. Here, assuming the form of a snake, Satan communicates his wonderful "gnosis", or knowledge to Eve, who shares it with Adam. The least that Adam could have done is to go and ask God about the talking serpent , but he did not. They were led by Satan to believe that the Supreme being Ialdabaoth is wrong. The two of them now seek the Supreme Being who is far above the material world, to seek to rise above the earth to his abode in pure spirituality and seek to escape the unfortunate influence of Ialdabaoth.

"But Ialdabaoth, the gnostics said, did not want the mother above nor the father above to be rememberd among men. But the serpent persuaded them and brought knowledge and taught the man and the woman all the knowledge of the mysteries above. On this account of the knowledge which he, Satan, revealed to humanity. The father, that is Ialdabaoth was enraged and hurled the serpent Satan out of heaven.

With each story or myth being told differently, many place a high valuation on Eve and her ministry of revelation. The point of Richard's and Cathy's book is to point out in detail all the various stories about Eve as it is to deliniate the kind of myth which we beleive the writer of 1 Timothy was trying to refute. The author Paul again and again repudiated the myths as a major part of the false teachings by the Gnostic Jews at Ephesus.

There is one other aspect on the Gnostic teaching about women and reproduction that show how deviante their teachings were. As with the erroneous teaching of Eve as spritual instructor to Adam we find the Gnostic view of sex. Once again we see the evil intent of the serpent to malign what God has called good through Gnostic revelations. The Serpent uses the many faces of Eve to distort Scripture away from the truths that God had recorded for us. We see a rush from "Gnostic Christianity" to the secular goddess New Age teachings by women in this day for a more feminine approarch to God. All in all it is the same Gnosticism in its variety of deceptive forms.

One of these forms the Gnostics viewed as evil is Procreation and their aversion to childbearing. We have noted that most Gnostics viewed the material universe as evil and the result of mistaken activity by Ialdabaoth. Light from the highest God had descended through lower powers, sometime known as archons, who had entrapped the divine spark in human beings. For this reason one's physical body was also evil and the soul was entrapped within the body as a dead body lies in a tomb. An as has been said from these writtings in many Gnostic systems humans contain within them sparks of the highest deity and must seek to return these particles of the divine to the celestial realm. Only in this way could be retored the primal unity of spiritual essence. This means that to procreate children would be to scatter the divine particles still futher and to entomb more human spirits in the flesh. It is obvious that this is a real distorton of what the Word of God said in Genesis 1:26-31, that human procreation is very good.

Some Gnostics groups exalted the feminine principle as divine, literary, or historical figure while they denigrated actual women. One saying describes a progression of evils. "The woman followed after the earth, and marriage, and destruction followed after birth. Childbearing is certainly a phenomenon unique to the female, and here we may see some of the misogyny and suspicion of female sexuality which so permeated the Greek religion. The Greeks expressed a repugnance for the process of birth and three of the twelve great gods had not been born from a woman. The Gnostics, however, had an even more negative view of women's sexuality.

In a work used by the Naassenes, Gnostics, the Gospel according to the Egyptians, Jesus announces, "I have come to destroy the works of the female." apparently in response to this statement, Salome asks him, "How long will death prevail?" Jesus replies, "as long as you women bare children." Here we have a categorical condemnation of childbearing. This was taught by these Gnostic woman to discourage childbirth in the Church of God.

The Gnostic Nicoliatans (Revelations 2:6 &15) or Phibionites were opposed to childbearing. they rejected marriage and held their women in common. They possessed many books, one of them was called the "Gospel of Eve,' and they adhered to the "doctrine of the Serpent." They were vehemently opposed to childbearing. When a departed soul left the body and began its ascent to heaven, it should say to each power above, "I have not sown children to the Archon, but have pulled up his roots and I have collected the scattered members and I know who you are.

The Phibionites had an extreme solution to the problem. While they have intercourse with each other they renounce the procreation of children. Although sexual intercourse makes up a major part of their rites, they practice coitus interruptus. This was the main effective means of birth control; but if a woman was found to be pregnant, she was forcibly aborted. The fetus was actually eaten in a ceremony so that its soul particles might be assimilated. They prayed to their god, "We were not tricked by the Archon of desire, but we have taken up the misdeed of the brother.

One only has to wonder if many of the abortions done today have their origin in this type of sexual activity of lustful pleasure of sex outside of marriage, where children are discarted because they are of no importance to this sex rite. Its wierd but it happens so much in even countries that claim Christian origins. Because nevertheless, these negative Gnostic attitudes toward marriage and child rearing were shared by a number of unorthodox groups. Many in New Age do not marry but live together for pleasure in sex. Even those that have no interest in religion live together for sexual pleasure and raise children outside of marraige. What has this world and generation come too? What have our children been reared on from our educational systems that demeans marraige and parenthood as a lost cause. The apostle Paul spoke of it in 1 Timothy 4:3 of those who forbade marriage. By contrast, 1Timothy 5:14 calls upon women of childbearing age to marry and have children.

In 1 Timothy 2:15, the apostle Paul affirms the femininity of women. If, as the gospel according to the Egyptians says, Jesus came to do away with the works of the female, then bringing a child into the world was a malfeasance, one with serious spiritual repercusions. can it be the writer of the pastorals of Paul affirms the preservation and validity of women within their role as childbearers? We have read of those Gnostics who deny to a women her sexuality. She cannot find eternal life until she first surrenders her femaleness. One Gnostic writer even called upon believers to "flee from the bondage of femininity and to chose for themselves the salvation of masculinity." Paul stated quite clearly that a woman can be saved while retaining the capacity to bare children?

The Greek preposition used in 1Timothy 2:15 for "through childrearing' is dia with a genitive case. This does not primarily indicate 'because of or "account of" as would be true of the accusative case. Rather it may have the sense of "during,""throughout," or "within an attendant circunstance." It would be possible to translate, "she shall be saved within childbearing function." Woman can be saved while she still possesses that distinctive which most decisively sets her apart from a man. This consitutes both affrimatiom of the spiritual wholeness of womanhood and a manifest of women's God given right to bear children.

With such an interpretation we would have continued refutation of one or more false doctrines. First Paul attacks a highly unorthodox myth involving Adam and Eve, and the serpent, and then he turns to a defense of feminine functions. Salvation is available to the female as well as the male, and she need not surrender her gender, 1 Timothy 2:15. This sounds consistent with the apostle who wrote that in Christ there is neither male nor female and that as the woman came from man and man came from woman, so neither is independant of each other in the Lord (1 Corinthians 11:11-12; Galatians 3:28). Women are acceptable to God within their childbearing function and need not change their sexual identity to find salvation. Those who find the task of rearing children to be tedious and frustrating will find within the writings of Paul's Epistles a strong affirmation of the essential validity of their often thankless ministry (1 Timothy 5:9-14; 2 Timothy 1:5; Titus 2:3-5). Paul extols for them the virtues of faith, love, and holiness with good sense. What a splendid maternal attitude! May God Grant them to the entire body of Christ!

Thank God for Richard and Catherine Kroegers wonderfully written researched book, "I Suffer Not A Woman." Every woman should have one and read it to their husbands. Every church that says it is of Christ should have it to revive their ministry of women! Check . Men need to repent of their patriarchy and misogynistic ways against women. If you need a place to start to gain the wisdom, knowledge and understanding, then start with Christains for Biblical Equality. The Holy Spirit Ruach HaKadosh calls aloud to you, "Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises Her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gate in the city She speaks Her words: "How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my Holy Spirit on you; I will make my words known to you, Proverbs 1:20-23. Happy are those people that find the true Wisdom of God and the people that gain Her understandng; For Her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than fine rubies and all the things you may desire cannot compare with Her. In Her Hand are riches and honor. Her "Ways" are ways of pleasantness and all Her paths are peace, She is a tree of Life (The Holy Spirit is that tree of Life, Genesis 3:22 and Romans 8:2; Isaiah 11:2) to those who take hold of Her, and happy are all who retain Her, Proverbs 3:13-18.

Actually Solomon is talking about God the Father, Yahovah and Ruach HaKadosh in Proverbs 1:8--9, 23. Some might think he is talking about his own father David and his physical mother Bathsheba. Though David was a man after God's heart he had a lot of problems. Solomon was also a prophet and king for God and is giving us a deeper insight to the workings of our Holy Spirit Mother of wisdom knowledge and understanding. These are the very same traits that our Savior Jesus the Christ was born with, Isaiah 11:1-5. Just like some of us humans have characteristics of our human parents so Jesus had many of his Father and Mother's traits and qualities of God. He did as His Father sent Him to do as a brave Son knowing that He would have to die for all in order for salvation to be offered to all called at this time. Jesus also had all of His Mother's attributes that are mentioned Galatians 5:22-25 > "But the fruit of the Spirit (Ruach Ha Kadosh) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit."

Christ did this perfectly because He had the fortitude of the Father to get the job done and He had the wisdom, knowledge and underdstanding to set the right example for others to follow His lead, Proverbs 1:7-9 > The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother (Romans 8:2, Ruach HaKadosh): for they will be a graceful ornament on your head, and chains around your neck.

Jesus Christ only has one ministry which is based on equality in which both genders share their God given traits. These traits along with the gifts of the Holy Spirit unite us through Jesus Christ the Royal Seed of the Father as the childen also of Abraham, 1 Peter 2:4-10, Galatians 3:28-29. Jesus Christ began to restore women to His ministry. Today the need for more women has been hindered by churches that are of an institutional hierarchal male leadership roles. This needs to be changed and the witness of Jesus Christ's second coming needs to be preached by both genders to make it successful. This is the challenge of the church now. Will it change and once again become the Egalitarian Church that Jesus founded in 31 A.D.? Time is short and there is a need for all Christians to unite as a community of oneness and not follow the division of a male chain of command wipe out, that will soon crash into oblivion.

Yes, change is needed, God will not accept us just as we are. Men who would prohibit women from being in Christ's ministry need to examine themselves to see from where they received this doctrine of males only in Christ's ministry. They are opposed to the very purpose Christ came to restore; men and women working equally together preaching and living by the standards Christ set for all times, Genesis 1:26-29, Genesis 3:15, Ephesians 5:21,25-33. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart and conscience. He will knock even if you do not respond. Don't hesitate to open your door to salvation, Revelation 3:20; Matthew 6:33; 7:7. Seek the truth through Christ Jesus and the door of salvation will be opened to you.

Make sure you are following the real Christ Jesus and not the hypocrites that try to mislead you in the ways that lead to death, Proverbs 14:12. There are many false Christ's and false prophets to lead you astray, Matthew 24:4-5, 24. The world's Satanic leaderships are on a collision course with Jesus Christ's coming Kingdom of God on earth. Will you be ready or will you be fast asleep without the needed oil from the Holy Spirit to keep your lamp lit when you hear the announcement that Christ has arrived, Matthew 25:1-13, keep watch! Check out my Hub - "The Challenge of Communicating Servant Leadership," with Catherine Clark Kroeger.

I'm well aware of CBMW teachings. They have a terrible problem with agreeing with one another on different aspects of gender equality. My favorites are John Piper and Wayne Grudem. We know Wayne, we met him at a recent Evangelical Conference. Everyone has a right to their opinion. This is what makes this subject on women and men so controversial. Remember it is servant leadership not domination over one or the other gender. Jesus Christ sets the standards in His love.

In the pre-fall there was complete equality, Gen.1:26-31 & Gen 2:24. Men over women came as a result of the Fall, Genesis 3:16.

Christ came to restore this relationship in His Egalitarian Church, Genesis 3:15, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:17-18.

Before the Fall it was man and woman submitting to one another in the Lord and after Christ came the Apostle Paul was inspired to write Ephesians 5:21. He also wrote Galatians 3:28-29. So it is in Christ Jesus that we are ONE being submissive to each other in mutual servant love. Harmony comes from Christ's teachings. Jesus had no problem with Male & female genders. Neither, did the apostle Paul who taught the same servant leadership that Christ taught.

There are some Complimntary Hierarchist's that have a problem with Paul's teaching from the Holy Spirit. The apostle Peter mentioned this in 2 Peter 3:15-16. Cathy and Richard Kroeger were Complimentary Egalitarians who listened to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

No, I'm just a Independant Seventh Day Christian. I could be a Levite or a Jew though. My wife looked up my mother's last name and it comes down from Jeremiah who was a Levite. My father's side is from the Tribe of Dan but they also can have Jews from Judah and Levi. One of Moses Grandson's went with the Tribe of Dan before the Assyrian captivity to Greece, Trace or Macedonia see Judges 17:9-13 & Judges 18:3-30.

A good plasce to learn some of these things is from Yair Davidiy's web page Yair is a Jewish researcher that confirms where the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel are along with were the rest of The Jews that didn't go back to Jerusalem can be found. Of Course then their is British Israel another research group that can put you on the right path as to where Jeremiah went. There are a number of other archeaologist like E. Raymond Capt that also have information about these things at his Artisans web page.

      Judah's Daughter,

A woman is not inferior to a man but was made as his equal. As equals they were to serve God by using their God given talents inspired by the Holy Spirit depicted figuratively by the Tree of life(Genesis 3:22). After the Fall came the put down by men through patriarchy. This was not God's idea, Matthew 19:4-6. Jesus Christ was predicted to come change that for us in Genesis 3:15. He did, he brought us his egalitarian Church to do it for him. But humans killed him for it and have persecuted his Church ever since and have tried to substitute their own pagan hierarchical teaching in churches that claim to be Christ's followers, 2 Corinthians 11:4, Matthew 15:7-9

This Hubs is about the pagans who tried to challenge the Church of God's teachings on equality by sending pagan women to distrupt the Churches in Corinth and Ephesus by teaching that Eve was created first. If you need more help contact Christians For Biblical Equality and get a copy of Richard and Catherine Kroeger's book, "I Suffer Not A Woman," for more details at

As far as the Holy Spirit being a female this is right, Vines Bible Dictionary can make this clear to you that the Holy Spirit "Ruach Ha Kodesh is Female from Genesis 1:2 to Revelation 22:17. Men tried to see things from their own pagan minds but Jesus taught about Ruach Ha Kodesh in John 3:3-8, John 14:16-17,26; John 15:26; John 16:7-8,13-14. as the Spirit Ruach HaKodesh in the same Hebrew language of the Old Testament that he spoke to Nicodemus. Believe Jesus.

Also men beget, women conceive. The Father begot Jesus, John 3:16. The Holy Spirit conceived Jesus in one of her female's made in her image,Mary, Matthew 1:18-20, Job 33:4, Genesis 1:26-27. The Father simply handed his Royal sperm, Jesus, to Ruach Ha Kodesh who placed Jesus the Royal Sperm in Mary's womb. This should be simple enough. But then some people just do not understand simple biology. Try finding a copy of "Holy Sprit Mother: Because God is Family," by Walesia Robindon Cates, M.D.. You should be able to find a copy on Ebay or Another interesting book is: "IS It Okay To Call God Mother?" by pastor Paul R. Smith at: Believe Jesus not he Greeks or English translators.

The passage in Proverb 1:23(KJV) refers to the Spirit as Ruach Ha Kodesh in Strongs Concordance,7307. The Bible tells me so. Jesus had this same Spirit in Him, Isaiah 11:2.

I found this very informative (a lot about paganism), however there are still passages in 1 Corinthians and Ephesians 5 that address women. I personally feel there is an order God gave us for oneness in Him, and that this order does not mean a woman is inferior, not educated, or not to prophecy (preach), because God is the authority by which He uses any willing vessel. He tells us the harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few. We are not to stifle the Spirit of God, yet within His order of godliness.

Also, I'm not sure why you take the passage in Proverbs and state as fact the Holy Spirit is female (did a female impregnate a female?), or that the Holy Spirit is not the power of God, since the apostles were told they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them.

I am certainly for childbirth, as if it were not so, Jesus would never have been born! This was an interesting read, though.

The problem is not that women cannot preach but which women? In 1 Timothy 2:11-15. The women forbidden here are not converted Christian women but new potential members. Paul and Timothy had a problem with women coming into the Church from Artemus' Temples in Corinth and Ephesus. They were being misled to mislead the Church by Hateful Jewish proselytes that were teaching, these women, that Eve was created first. Some will try to use these verses to show that all women cannot preach. It was a local problem in Greece not to be used all the time. Men also need to learn in silence before they can preach or teach. You shoulde check out Christians For Biblical Equality @: , for more information on this matter.
