If You Were To Die Today

Updated on April 30, 2012

If you were to die today...... Do you know where you would spend eternity?

Some people might answer "Well I am a good person I've never hurt anyone." or I belong to a church and do lots of good works". So :Hopefully I will go to heaven.

The bible says:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27)

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

The bible says we can know for sure. God repeatedly gives us the assurance of our salvation in His word the Bible: God says to the believer,

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)

None of us are good enough.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6

No good works can save us

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8 and 9

Jesus Paid it All

"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE for all."
Hebrews 10:10,

"For Christ also hath ONCE suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
1 Peter 3:18,

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Believe and Receive Him Today

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:3)

Salvation Prayer - The Simple Steps:
1. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.

2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.

4. Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus. (Repent means to turn away)

God will forgive your sins. All of them.

Salvation Prayer

"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."

Sky: Unless God and Jesus have changed the rules for salvation, I am saved. Therefore I will be serving in the mansion of God serving as needed, hopefully singing with the Choir of Heaven.

Great verses when using them as they are, but when you read the whole paragraph they were intended to be with sometimes it tells a whole other story and has a whole other meaning. Women are saved just by childbirth. No matter what I have done or will done I will be with Jesus and in the place that is set up for me. There are many mansion and many rooms in those mansions and Jesus readies them as we go home. Jesus put the laws on the minds and hearts of men--all men and he didn't leave out anyone. He loves us all--sinner or not. He came for the sinner, but not all are sinners. Love unconditionally. That was Jesus's message. There is so much in that Bible that is being glossed over and ignored. It's a shame isn't it?

When it is my time, I am ready.

Sky321, what an amazing hub of truth. ALL have SINNED and fallen short of the Glory of GOD.

Yes Romans 3 v 23 clearly states this fact. This means Men, WOMEN and Children who unless covered by their Parents must also repent and ask forgiveness before they can ever hope to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8&9

I am so overcome by the Holy Spirit every time i hear songs like "Mighty To Save" Thank you for sharing these great songs.

      Blessings Love and Hugs

Psalms 103: 10Not according to our sins hath He done to us, Nor according to our iniquities Hath He conferred benefits upon us.

11For, as the height of the heavens [is] above the earth, His kindness hath been mighty over those fearing Him.

12As the distance of east from west He hath put far from us our transgressions.

      John 20:29-31 (Young's Literal Translation)

29Jesus saith to him, `Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed; happy those not having seen, and having believed.'

      30Many indeed, therefore, other signs also did Jesus before his disciples, that are not written in this book;

31and these have been written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in his name.'

Jesus is great! If they have not seen him they will when they go and all will believe!

Did you also know that women who have children are saved while in childbirth? How awesome is that!
