Impending Doom and Gloom

Updated on September 4, 2012

I hope it wont be as bad as some predict

I remember when it was 1999 and everyone talked about the year 2000 and how all the computers were going to crash and the world would come to chaos then. We are all so into all this Doom and Gloom stuff, it is all quite interesting. The Hopi Indians talked about a blue star called Katchina, did you know that a high velocity comet is actually blue? The Chinese have the iChing the book of changes. Nostradamus predicted 911 and now the birds falling from the sky, and of course the Bible talks about signs and wonders. Things are happening on this planet and I personally think it is a polar shift.I am beginning to feel inundated with doom and gloom movies, T.V. shows and now a Metal Band! How much more of this 2012 stuff can we take? Honestly, I am interested in this stuff just as much as the next person, but to what extent? I sure hope our kids don't start talking about how they are not going to get good grades because were all going die. There was a similar idea before the Vietnam War broke out, many young men were going to get drafted so, they didn't care about getting good grades in school. It was so sad; many of these men didn't get a chance to go to college. These men were forced to fight for our freedom and when they came home, they were called baby killers and spit on. I just want to thank all you guys! I can tell you how many ways I feel we have cheated our younger generations without batting an eye. Lately we have been recording our "Doom and Gloom" shows and watching them later so we don't "overload" our son. Happy information hunting ;)

The doom and gloom can certainly come to the surface too often. We have had it very good in America and still do in many ways. We have had it so good in fact we have embraced those in our government as our benefactors when in reality they too often mismanaged our hard earned dollars. We can no longer afford that apathy. We need to be happy but we need to be aware and make that America is for our children what it was for us. WB
