In Time of Need, He Will Heed.
As medicine for the body, He is medicine for the spirit
He is the best doctor
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:16).
We all have times of trouble and difficulties don’t we? Where do you go in those times? When we are members of Christs family shouldn’t we turn to God? Think about it? Is there anyone who loves you more than He, is there anyone who knows you better than He does, is there anyone who had the unlimited supply to give you to achieve success more than He has? We can always call on Him no matter where we are or what the situation is.
God has given you His promise, That He hears and answers prayer, He will heed your supplication If you cast on Him your care. —Bernstecher
Now He sometimes will not come to your rescue like the cavalry. Most times it requires teamwork.
To begin with we must call upon Him in the belief that He will answer.
“Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17-20 New International Version.
He does this when we search for His answers.
They many be found in His Holy Book, the Bible, in sermons at church or online (there are plenty on OnePlcae.com, my preference is Chuck Swindall or maybe Focus on the Family) , while listening to Christian music ( try Joyfm from Florida or St. Louis or Praise 1065) and through Christian counseling (ask if there is any at your church or contact Focus on the Family) and through reading Christian litature ( why not try Acts International with Dick Innes, Back to the Bible, Our Daily Bread, Our Daily Journal and or Heartlight. These can be delivered right to your email for free).
Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cutoff.
Proverbs 24:14, New International Version
Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Psalms 23:3-6 New International Version
If you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your prosperous state. Job 8-4
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalms 9:8-10 New Living Translation
The next step is to take action. God will not magically solve our troubles or difficulties with no effort on our behalf. We must be active participants in the process in order for there to be success. And finally, we need to be grateful and give thanks to God as well as share with others how He has helped us, what better way to share Jesus with others?
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever 1 Chronicles 16:34 New International Version
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:8-10 New International Version
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shalom (The God of our peace) for being there during our tempest storms in life. Thank you for walking by my side through the many storms and when the waves came crashing down too heavy for me, You lovingly carried me on Your awesome gentle shoulders. I humbly give thanks in Your magnificent name. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ love bless you today and every day.
