Is It Right for Men to Protect Servants of God?

Updated on April 28, 2018

Is it right for men to protect servants of God?

We know that the only thing that is constant is change consequently it is not a surprise that God or people’s view of God has changed over the years. There is a facebook group called Revolutionaries of the Nathanic order. They claim that there are many churches and people are building more churches while some people do not have a place to sleep, so they sleep in the streets. They said, in one of their posts, that God does not live in those fancy building so they called that the churches to open their building for people to sleep at night or at least the churches should give them bibles to make fire with because it is cold out there. That sounds rude, but there may be truth in it.

I recently came across a hub on hub pages that mentioned about the mega-churches and the amount spent by the priest, pastors, among others. The writer added that these men of God pay people for their security. That is they employ security personnel. Some people have argued that church business is now the most accessible means of making money maybe that is why churches are coming up daily, and people separate and start their churches and doctrines.

There is a need for security in this changing world where a lot of things do happen. That is why some famous and wealthy people maybe. However, that does not mean that the ordinary man does not need security, but it says that some people can afford to pay or use extra security because of their position. Most of the wealthy priests, pastors, imams, ministers and other men/ servants of God employ personal protection for their safety. Does it mean that the God they serve these days can no longer protect them like he safeguarded and directed his servants of old? It is said in their scripture, which they use to teach and preach, if God does not watch over a nation then in vain do the watchmen guard.

There is need to be afraid because of the evils of the day and may be there is also the need for one to help oneself then God will do the rest. However, if the servants of God are not sure of spiritual protection and guidance which they preach. If they do not trust that the God they serve is enough to keep them safe from the evils of this world, then there is the need for men to search once again, find, and worship that God that will keep them safe from all harm. It is because if it is true that God once protected men in the past like the three young Israelites that did not burn in the fire in Babylon, Men like Daniel in the loin’s den among others. Then there is no reason why that God will not do it again. It means the men of God of this generation are less spiritual and that is why they lack supernatural protect, so they seek the protection of men. They are not different from the politicians, entertainers and other wealthy men that use security for their safety.

Finally, there may be a need for security, and the servants of God may have their reasons for employing personal bodyguards. They can even claim that is will be to tempt God if they do not secure themselves and we know that man should not tempt God. However, the question which many people now ask is, are the servants of God safe in the protection of men? Is it right for men to guard the servants of God? That is the question some people ask when they consider the amount sent for such security.
